In science and technology viewpoints (S&T), Meissner's effect is a fascinating phenomenon leading students to be motivated and inspired to learn more about this macroscopic quantum effect. In engineering and artistic design (E&A), we utilize augmented reality to create a virtual octopus over a real environment. The virtual octopus is appeared whenever a superconducting phenomenon is detected. In other words, once a Meissner's effect is identified by a computer program on smartphones, then the octopus will chaotically floating over the superconductor disk in the real space. The octopus's trajectory can be mathematically (M) generated by any chaotic equation. Subjectively, the proposed CPS demonstration was impressed by computer engineering students in our classes.","PeriodicalId":111111,"journal":{"name":"2017 21st International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"3148 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127474148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many users can find information that tweets to Twitter. Some information is beneficial, and at the meantime, some information is created from spammers who would like to promote their websites or services. They are harmful to normal users by using the Twitter channel to exploit common user interests, such as sharing malicious links and ads. In order to stop spammers, many researchers have proposed tools to filter those junk. However, the focus of recent works is how to create streaming spam detection methods. In this paper, we proposed the adaptive data classification for spam detection by using spam word lists and a commercial URL-based security tool. We analyzed data by Naïve Bayes algorithm with both data types including all data and specific data. It can help to improve the performance of the spam detector is better than usual. We can show our proposed methods fulfillment in the experiments result.","PeriodicalId":111111,"journal":{"name":"2017 21st International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122574608","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is always a pre-processing step before feeding its result to the next process. Although many papers based on statistical filter are presented for noise reduction, those still need to improve the quality of image. Bidimensional empirical mode decomposition (BEMD) is an adaptive image analysis method without a prior function for non-linear and non-stationary images in many applications. One of them is image denoising. The BEMD method can reduce the information loss by separating the noised and fundamental components into different bidimensional intrinsic mode function (BIMF) components. This makes it to be effective and flexible method. Therefore, this paper proposes image denoising based on structural BIMF. The proposed method not only removes the noise from noised image but also retrieves the main structure from noised image. Based on 44 noised images, the experimental results demonstrate that the performance of the proposed method outperforms that of baseline methods in terms of image quality assessments: PSNR, Qi, and TAA.","PeriodicalId":111111,"journal":{"name":"2017 21st International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117321351","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many technologies are developed for smart home. Human gait recognition system for indoor area is applied for monitoring purpose such as elder health care system. However, simple and effective algorithm is necessary for real-world applications. In this paper, we propose a new method of human gait identification system for indoor area by using human joints projection and closest distance technique. The algorithm consists of four step: image sequence acquisition, human joints segmentation, human joints projection and gait recognition. Firstly, human 2D sequence image is acquired. Red nine markers are attached on human joints. Secondly, markers are extracted by color thresholding technique. Human joints are then tracked. Third, such joints is projected in a dimension. Finally, Euclidean distance technique is used to compare two 2D human points between test data and train data. Human gait is recognized by the closest distance. To evaluate the proposed method, fifteen subjects walk pass 2D camera in same one way. A subject was tested three time. Average accuracy rate is 95.55%. This method perform effectively. The advantages of this method over existing methods is simple algorithm and effective for small size of target as using in accommodation.","PeriodicalId":111111,"journal":{"name":"2017 21st International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115478425","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the paper is to detect the dissimilar angles of the license plate with the non-fixed LPR system. Therefore, the horizontal and vertical dilation, skew angle detection and automatic bounding box have been proposed to detect the license plate. The proposed method has been applied to the four different types of Myanmar license plates, e.g., private cars, taxi, tour buses and religion cars. One car each is taken into four different types of angles on the dissimilar conditions. Experimental result indicated that this method can detect the disparate types of license plates with a high accuracy, i.e., the proposed approach achieved a favorable outcome rate of 97% at 100 license plates.","PeriodicalId":111111,"journal":{"name":"2017 21st International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116221712","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Label prediction for nodes in a network is a well-known and explored problem. However, the prediction of labels for edges in a network is relatively less explored, and very challenging and interesting problem. In this paper, we consider the problem of binary label prediction for edges in undirected and unweighted networks. The prediction of binary labels has a number of applications in realworld like friend/foe prediction, recommendation, trust/distrust prediction in social networks, and categorization. In this work, a semi-supervised approach is proposed that uses the concept of random-walk for prediction of binary labels for edges. In this paper, we demonstrate the viability and the effectiveness of the proposed approach using a real-world network.","PeriodicalId":111111,"journal":{"name":"2017 21st International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126739881","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, navigational data of 10 subjects living in an assisted living facility were collected daily over a period of one year using an Ultrawideband real-time location system with an accuracy of 20cm at 1Hz, and compared with their cognitive status as measured by the Mini Mental State Exam. Two patients evidenced significant linear trends in angle-turn and path-efficiency with the maximum variability captured by angle-turn (14.7% and 11.7%). However, the traditional ID3 algorithm has a difficulty when there are equally important attributes during the decision node construction. It randomly selects one of the most important attributes to serve as the current decision node. This behavior may lead to the resulting decision tree which contains unnecessary depths and suboptimal accuracy. The purpose of this paper is to find the near optimal depth decision tree of the dataset, which contains an equally important attributes problem, by using the A-Star (A*) search. The experiment results on four standard datasets from UCI indicate that the proposed algorithm can significantly reduce the decision tree's depth and still maintain the classification accuracy.","PeriodicalId":111111,"journal":{"name":"2017 21st International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"9 12","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120906518","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The 2011 large-scale floods over the Chao Phraya River Basin is the worst floods ever recorded in Thailand, and the estimated damages by World Bank at US$ 46.5 billion. Although efforts have been made to mitigate the flood damage in the Chao Phraya River Basin through several structural measures, flooding still causes much more impact as a result of deforestation, farmland expansion and urban development. In this study, the impact of climate change on the discharge in the Chao Phraya River Basin is analyzed, using nonlinear autoregressive neural network with exogenous input (NARX) model. Future climate data were extracted from phase 3 and phase 5 of Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP3 and CMIP5) under the greenhouse gas emission scenarios: B1, A2, RCP4.5, and RCP8.5. The future precipitation was downscaled using the Distribution Mapping. Using NARX, future monthly dischagre was predicted at Nakhon Sawan for the period 2010 - 2099. Depending on the emission scenario, the projected discharge for future periods are shown to increase in overall. However, there are decreasing discharge in the near future and the mid future periods under B1 emission scenario. These findings suggest that the risks of climate change in the Chao Phraya River Basin will affect on millions of people, social and environment.","PeriodicalId":111111,"journal":{"name":"2017 21st International Computer Science and Engineering Conference (ICSEC)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114377136","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
