We have developed predictive models based on the decision tree method and the modern efficient CatBoost algorithm trained on clinical data. This allowed us to identify key characteristics and interactions between them, as well as evaluate the success of endobronchial valve treatment.The constructed models show that the main influence on the positive result of bronchoblocking was provided by non–specific factors (patient’s age and MBT sensitivity) not related to the technique itself.","PeriodicalId":110836,"journal":{"name":"2022 6th Scientific School Dynamics of Complex Networks and their Applications (DCNA)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134406516","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The recently proposed framework of dynamical causal effects (DCEs) provides a unifying formalism that allows one to express various causality quantifiers as specific DCEs and relate them to each other. Within the framework of DCEs, this work studies relationships between several well-known quantifiers (transfer entropy, Granger-Geweke causality spectrum, coupling spectral effects) and oscillation-theoretic phenomena (arousal of spectral peaks, amplitude modulation) in the classical system of two stochastic linear damped oscillators. Thereby, a qualitative oscillation-theoretic interpretation of the numerical values of the causality quantifiers is established that promises to make their future applications more efficient.","PeriodicalId":110836,"journal":{"name":"2022 6th Scientific School Dynamics of Complex Networks and their Applications (DCNA)","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132399347","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method computes two independent measures that quantity the detrended covariance and the impact of nonstationarity, respectively. Considering the non-stationary nature of many processes in nature, it is important to apply and improve methods for analyzing the structure of experimental processes in the dynamics of systems with time-varied characteristics. One of the most popular approaches is wavelet analysis and methods that use decomposition in the basis of wavelet functions as the main or intermediate stage of analysis. In this study, various versions of extended multiresolution wavelet analysis (MWA) were tested, aimed at improving the quality of diagnostics of complex oscillations and their changes when the operating conditions of the system change. The characterization of differences between various group using the kurtosis and skewness of the probability distribution of the wavelet coefficients of decompositions improves the diagnosis of age distinctions compared to the approach based on the standard deviations.","PeriodicalId":110836,"journal":{"name":"2022 6th Scientific School Dynamics of Complex Networks and their Applications (DCNA)","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132419178","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We observed a spatial evolution of sensorimotor alpha-rhythm event related desynchronization (ERD) evoked by pain-stimuli application during right hand tattooing. We observed the significant ERD increase in channels over the ipsilateral hemisphere. After the tattoo session tactile stimulation of the affected hand the fronto-central event related synchronization (ERS) in alpha-range was developed. This effect seems demonstrated the dependency on the tattoo experience. We suppose that fronto-central ERS can reflect inhibition in the primary motor cortex in response to pain perception. These results are discussed regarding the role of primary motor cortex in pain relief and long-term effects of tattooing related pain stimulation. The results provide the neurophysiological basis to use tattoo-induced pain stimuli in further research of pain perception.","PeriodicalId":110836,"journal":{"name":"2022 6th Scientific School Dynamics of Complex Networks and their Applications (DCNA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129641515","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
