In this approach, a watermark in the form of a PN sequence is embedded in the coefficients of the FRFT implemented on the image in the spatial domain or in transform domain. The FRFT is used in this paper as a means of security. The objective of using other transform domains prior to the FRFT is to make use of the details in these transforms domains. Before extraction of the watermark image, we intentionally attack the watermarked image with different common image processing attacks to test the robustness of the proposed algorithms. The hybrid approach involving the particle swarm optimization (PSO) and Nelder-Mead (NM) algorithm is considered to optimize the complex excitations of the adaptive array elements in a mutual coupling environment for different beamforming synthesis. Firstly, the effect of the human hand-head on the handset radiation characteristics is studied. Then, the spatial peak specific absorption rate (SAR) values of 4-element antenna arrays for mobile handsets in the vicinity of a human hand-head are evaluated numerically for different scenarios. Traditional iris localization methods often involve an exhaustive search of a three-dimensional parameter space, which is a time consuming process. This paper presents a coarse-to-fine algorithm to address the computational cost problem, while achieving an acceptable accuracy. The iris gray image is transformed to a binary image using an adaptive threshold obtained from analyzing the image intensity histogram. Morphological processing is then used to extract an initial center point, which is considered as the initial center for both pupil and iris boundaries. Finally, a refinement step is made using an integrodifferential operator to get the final iris and pupil centers and radii. Automatic pectoral muscle removal on Medio-Lateral Oblique-view (MLO) of mammograms is an essential step for many mammography processing algorithms. Presence of pectoral muscle gives false positive results in automated breast cancer detection. The sizes, the shapes and the intensity contrasts of pectoral muscles change greatly from one MLO view to another. So, the suppression or exclusion of the pectoral muscle from the mammograms is demanded for computer-aided analysis, and this task requires the identification of the pectoral muscle. The main objective of this study is to propose an automated method to efficiently identify the pectoral muscle in MLO mammograms. For efficient performance of signals classifiers and features detectors in real time, limited number of features are required. In this paper we introduce a method to compress the cyclostationary features of digital signals using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). The target is to reach low percentage of classification error with reducing the number of features required. Using the proposed technique, different types of digital signals as BPSK and QPSK signals in three different cognitive radio scenarios have been considered. This paper proposes an effective, low complexity, Selective On-Fly Scrambling Algorithm (SOFSA) that could be implemented on Code-Excited-Linear-Prediction (CELP) parameters while processing the speech frame in order to provide fast speech security. ITU G.723.1, which is one of the most widely used speech coders in Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) applications, is chosen as our test CELP coder. Subjective and objective measurements are used to prove SOFSA's utility in real-time voice applications. Results show that the implementation of SOFSA on selective CELP parameters, especially on high intelligibility density parameters, provides a form of data security without compromising neither the bandwidth of the output nor the speech quality. This paper presents a novel technique that deals with the classification of OFDM signals using higher order moments and cumulants with different types of classifiers and clustering techniques is proposed. Four classification techniques were considered, namely, Support Vector Machines, K-nearest neighbors, Maximum Likelihood and neural network (NN) classifiers. Two clustering techniques were utilized, namely, Fuzzy K-Means and Fuzzy C-means. Simulation results show that the proposed technique is able to classify different types of OFDM signals in Rayleigh fading and additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels with high accuracy. Genetic algorithms are used to improve the potential field controller by optimizing the forces applied to the robot making the robot path much smoother. A measure of smoothness is used to guide the genetic algorithm optimizer during its search. Of course more smoothing gives less distance and more speed to reach the goal. The optimized controller is simulated on Windows Vista using Matlab Software. Many cases including environments with single obstacle up to three obstacles and multi-knee corridor are simulated.
