The ARC codes can be encoded incrementally using Chinese remained theory and can be decoded using Gaussian elimination. The new codes cover a wide range of code rate from frac{1}{2} to 1 and are perfect rate compatible in this range. When operated on erasure channel, the new codes approach very close to the capacity and is better than LT codes for small packet number k. Simulation is carried out to evaluate the performance and the results indicate that ARC codes are suitable for bandwidth efficient applications.","PeriodicalId":109229,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128103103","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The theory of commutation torque ripple of BLDCM was analyzed firstly. After the study of the stop process of BLDCM, it was proposed that the motorpsilas stop precision will be affected when commutation occurs in the stop interval. Classical overlapping commutation and novel dynamic commutation technique are both used to solve this question separated. Through theoretical analysis and the experimental results, it was found that the bus current was smooth at any time when dynamic commutation technique was used. So the torque ripple was reduced and the stop precision was improved obviously.","PeriodicalId":109229,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130382540","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, signatures allow a receiver to get a blind signature on a message unknown to the signer but choice of the message is restricted and must conform to certain rules. Secondly, signatures allow a signer to explicitly include necessary information in the resulting signatures under some agreement with the receiver. A designated verifier signature can provide authentication of a message with providing an undeniable property. In this paper we first propose a new designated verifier restrictive partially blind signature. This signature incorporates the advantages of restrictive partially blind signature and designated verifier signature.","PeriodicalId":109229,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127759767","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fast registration algorithm based on the normalized cross-correlation and pyramid structure in a coarse-to-fine scheme. After extracting reference text block, we use the text registration method to find the corresponding text blocks in next consecutive frames. By using intensity-hue-saturation (IHS) fusion method to enhance text block. This proposed algorithm working with rectangular sub-images, which obtained by down-sampling the frames at different levels of the pyramid, the speed of the algorithm can be increased. We have tested our match algorithm in a large set of experiments with video clips recorded from television and achieved good matching results.","PeriodicalId":109229,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134326146","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we propose the security notion of certificate-based signcryption and present a concrete certificate-based signcryption scheme derived from pairings on elliptic curves and prove its security in the random oracle model. Additionally, our scheme satisfies the public verifiability and forward secrecy. Compared with the certificate-based sign-then-encrypt scheme, our scheme enjoys shorter message length and less operation cost.","PeriodicalId":109229,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117267896","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different entities of society are seeking varied information on a day to day basis. In every walk of life decision makers are taking decisions after careful analysis of relevant information. Hence quality of decisions eventually depends upon quality of information. With the advent of Internet technology the population of online information seekers is growing beyond any stretch of imagination. However information which is retrieved from World Wide Web suffers from few drawbacks. One of the major draw backs about which there is a universal concern that is information retrieved is not the same as information perceived. We commonly comes across pages that are not of interest while searching the Web. This is partly due to a word or words in the search query having different contexts, the user obviously expecting to find pages related to the context of interest. This research paper attempts to investigate the usefulness of Web page clustering algorithms to overcome the drawback of mismatching between information desired and information retrieved. This paper also proposes a method to disambiguate contexts in Web search results.","PeriodicalId":109229,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology","volume":"800 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117044672","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An approach to extracting human body and classifying the behaviors of the moving objects is presented in this paper. A statistical Gaussian model is used as adaptive background updating method. After foreground objects are segmented from the video images, we propose a novel skeleton model of the foreground objects model for feature extraction. The angles that can represent the pose of the skeleton model and length-width ratio of the human are used as feature vector. Then Bayesian Networks is used as classifier for behavior classification. X-ray imaging is used when the details of bones have to be visualized whereas magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) provides rich three dimensional (3D) information about the human soft tissue anatomy. Segmentation of MRI images using intensity values is severely limited owing to in-homogeneities and partial volume effects. Edge based segmentation methods suffer from unsharp edges and gaps in boundaries. A number of other methods are also used. Here a method is presented to segment multidimensional images using a multiscale stacking approach (hyperstack) with either single parent or multiparent linking. A hyperstack is a voxel-based multiscale data structure whose levels are constructed by convolving the original image with a Gaussian kernel of increasing width. Between voxels at adjacent scale levels, child-parent linkages are established according to a model-directed linkage scheme. In the resulting tree-like data structure, roots are formed to indicate the most plausible locations in scale space where segments in the original image are represented by a single voxel. The final segmentation is obtained by tracing all root linkages.This will facilitate segmentation of grey matter, white matter and cerebrospinal fluid with minimum user interaction. Multiscale linking gives a significantly improved segmentation as compared with conventional (single-parent) linking.","PeriodicalId":109229,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Computer Science and Information Technology","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-08-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130556673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
