However, not all the FNs are willing to help TNs for free. Therefore, an economy-mode framework for task offtoading in the fog network is required to motivate the FNs. In this paper, we formulate the task offtoading problem based on Stackelberg game. The TN with computing tasks acts as the leader and its strategy is the optimal unit computing price. Each FN with idle resources acts as the follower and its strategy is the sharable optimal proportion of computing capability. Firstly, the leader predicts the followers' strategies and provides the unit computing price. Next, given the price, the followers will do exactly what the leader wishes, which is the system optimal point. By maximizing the utility functions of both the TN and FNs, a win-win solution is obtained. The numerical simulations indicate the importance of our proposed economy-mode framework for task offtoading.","PeriodicalId":108635,"journal":{"name":"2019 11th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115118735","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The designed structure is composed of two electric dipole resonant polarization selectors on the top and bottom sides and a cross-shaped polarization converter in the middle filled with two dielectric layers of silica as spacers. The proposed structure forms a cascaded Fabry-Perot-like resonance cavity, leading to the enhancement of polarization conversion between two orthogonal linearly polarized waves. The designed structure is optimized to achieve an extremely broad bandwidth, sharp rejection stop-band, and maximum conversion ratio of 99.9% at the resonant frequency.","PeriodicalId":108635,"journal":{"name":"2019 11th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115658815","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Conditioned on target BER, the SE of massive MIMO with CAM in the presence of imperfect CSI is derived. As a result, closed-form expression is attained. Using this result, subject to the maximum transmit power per user, a constrained non-concave optimization problem of PA to maximize the SE is formulated. A near-optimal PA scheme with the concave-convex procedure (CCCP) method is then developed, which offers nearly optimal performance as the exhaustive search scheme. This PA scheme has relatively high complexity since more iterations from CCCP method are required. For this reason, we introduce an optimized parameter to simplify the original optimization problem. With this parameter, the original non-concave problem is transformed into two concave subproblems. By solving these subproblems, a low-complexity suboptimal PA scheme is presented, and it can provide closed-form PA. Simulation results reveal that the developed two schemes are valid, the near-optimal PA scheme has almost the same SE as the optimal one with the exhaustive search method, but the complexity is lower than the latter. The iteration free suboptimal PA scheme has the SE close to that of near-optimal PA scheme but offers lower complexity. Meanwhile, the PA from suboptimal scheme can be used as an initial value of the near-optimal scheme to speed up the CCCP method.","PeriodicalId":108635,"journal":{"name":"2019 11th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124405795","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Software-Defined Network (SDN) architecture allows Macro Base Station (MBS) to have a global view of the whole network to better conduct the cache update strategy. In conventional caching strategies, power allocation and user association are neglected, which may result in insufficient power for a user and cache waste in a small-cell base station (SBS). Quality of Experience (QoE) cannot be improved without taking into account power allocation and user allocation. In this paper, we jointly optimize caching, power allocation and user association to maximize users' average QoE for video services. Under the constraints of caching capacity, limited power and single association, a mixed integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) problem is formulated. Power discretization has transformed this problem into a Discrete Monotone Optimization one, and we propose a Joint Caching-Power-and-Association (JCPA) algorithm to obtain the global optimal solution. Also, a random projection algorithm is proposed to compute the lower bound faster in the JCPA's iterations. Simulation results have demonstrated the effectiveness of the joint optimization strategy in this paper compared to popularity-based strategy and least recently used (LRU) strategy.","PeriodicalId":108635,"journal":{"name":"2019 11th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117236275","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, we decompose the whole channel into two parts, which are associated with the transmitting side and the receiving side respectively. Through the discrete Fourier transform (DFT), the mmWave channel exhibits the sparsity in the angle domain. By utilizing the orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) method together with the angle rotation operation, the corresponding directions of arrival (DoA) and directions of departure (DoD) of all paths can be estimated accurately. Simulation results show that our proposed algorithm can achieve the significant improvement of mean square error (MSE) performance, and require much less pilot overhead and lower calculation complexity.","PeriodicalId":108635,"journal":{"name":"2019 11th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121025396","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, the association analysis algorithm is used to mine the key movement patterns of users, and the definition of user mobility similarity is proposed. Based on the similar user found by similarity calculation, this paper proposes a similar user assisted mobility prediction model for predicting the mobility of individual users in the dataset, and discusses the impact of two important parameters of the model. Compared with the single-user model, this model achieves a 4% performance improvement, which verifies the validity of the model and the importance of similar user for prediction.","PeriodicalId":108635,"journal":{"name":"2019 11th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125314399","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the unlicensed band is rich resource, which is mainly occupied by wireless fidelity (WiFi). The biggest challenge for the unlicensed LTE technology is how to friendly coexistent with WiFi. Many Researchers in academia and industry have proposed various solutions to deal with this problem. For example, the mLTE-U scheme needs dynamic environmental information to keep it running. In this paper, we propose a classification method based on convolutional neural networks (CNN) algorithm in order to distinguish unlicensed LTE and WiFi. We collect the real data about unlicensed LTE and WiFi. Simulation results show that the identification of two incumbent technology performs well under high signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs).","PeriodicalId":108635,"journal":{"name":"2019 11th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"199 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116402606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, the energy-constrained low-power nodes (e.g., small cell users) are the bottlenecks for restricting the overall network performance. To improve the system throughput and prolong the operation life of the energy-limited networks, a robust energy efficiency (EE) maximization problem is addressed for simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT)-enabled heterogeneous NOMA networks. Considering the co-channel interference and the cross-tier interference, the resource allocation problem is formulated as a non-convex multivariable fractional programming problem under the time-switching energy harvesting mode. It is challenging to obtain the optimal solution. By using the min-max probability machine approach, the probabilistic interference constraint and the outage rate constraint are transformed into the convex ones. Based on the ellipsoidal uncertainty sets, the worst-case harvested energy is converted into a deterministic one. The obtained convex optimization problem is solved by CVX tools. Simulation results show the superiority of the proposed algorithm by comparing with the non-robust algorithm.","PeriodicalId":108635,"journal":{"name":"2019 11th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123036769","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we study the fundamental problem of recovering data sequence from a sub-Nyquist sampled linearly modulated baseband signal, in which the signal dimension is hardly to be reduced and the problem is underdetermined. First, we derive upper bounds of the normalized minimum Euclidean distance for different sub-Nyquist sampling schemes, which shows that, they are proportional to the sampling rate within the fundamental Mazo limit. Then by making use of the finite alphabet of transmitted symbols and the intrinsic interference structure of the sample sequence, we present an efficient time-variant Viterbi algorithm to recover data from the sub-Nyquist sampled sequence. The bit error rates (BER) under different sub-Nyquist sampling scenarios are simulated and compared with both their theoretical limits and its Nyquist sampling counterpart, which validates the excellent performance of the algorithm.","PeriodicalId":108635,"journal":{"name":"2019 11th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114142449","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During the uplink channel training phase, we conduct channel estimation by using two different expected covariance matrices with a minimum mean square error (MMSE) based estimator, and the PSA is detected by comparing the power of the channel estimations' difference with a predetermined threshold. Once the PSA is detected, the BS transmits some confidential parameters with beamforming aided physical layer security to the legitimate users for the second channel training. In this case, the subspace of the eavesdropping channel can be estimated by combining the estimations of the two training phases. We then propose a MMSE based precoding scheme to improve the downlink secrecy performance, which can achieve unbounded secrecy rate as long as the channel covariance matrices are linearly independent.","PeriodicalId":108635,"journal":{"name":"2019 11th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128406720","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
