The difference is only in the substance of the material and the way the teacher teaches the material in class, where the interaction is carried out using sign language, hand gestures, and emphasis on lip movements which is called total communication. This study analyzed the effectiveness of implementing the discovery learning model in learning mathematics in deaf special schools (SLB). This research is included in the type of evaluation study research. The sample of this study was a mathematics teacher and deaf SMPLB students in grades seven and eight who were taken using a cluster random sampling technique. The number of teachers involved is 3, and the number of students is 18—data collection methods used in questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive using the Z-score formula. The results showed that implementing the discovery learning model in learning mathematics in SMPLB for deaf students was classified as less effective. The context variable had a positive score, the input score was negative, the process variable had a negative score, and the product variable had a negative score. The teacher is classified as effective, the context is positive, the input is positive, the process is negative, and the product is positive. The study findings showed that there were as many Z scores with positive signs as negative ones, so the results were equal to zero. Then a positive score was given because Z was closer to the positive score. It happened because the number of research samples was even. Evaluation of implementing the discovery learning model in learning mathematics during a pandemic at SMPLB B for teachers showed that the results were classified as effective.","PeriodicalId":107037,"journal":{"name":"Indonesian Journal Of Educational Research and Review","volume":"143 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129016877","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Teachers and parents are still difficult to convey information regarding reproductive health and sexuality. The study aims to provide a hypothetical model of puberty and character education to be implemented in a primary school in Indonesia. Methods used in the study were an online survey for teachers and a qualitative approach to develop a hypothetical model based on the Health Belief Model. Data collections are questionnaire, interviews and/or discussions to deepen the respondents' statements. The data analysis is use descriptive analysis of variables in the model. The result shows that teachers perceived the knowledge and behavior of students vary widely. The consequences that may occur are also quite serious. Perceived benefits are mostly pointed at students. Perceived barriers and vice versa, include the point of view of teachers and facilities, although the characteristics of students that are difficult to recognize and control are perceived as the dominant factor as well. The puberty education that is carried out is also very much in line with the strengthening of character education. It is highly recommended that puberty education be applied in primary schools in Indonesia.","PeriodicalId":107037,"journal":{"name":"Indonesian Journal Of Educational Research and Review","volume":"65 3-4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114021265","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Chemistry teachers should discuss environmental issues with students directly and take the opportunity to promote emancipatory Environmental Education, enabling students to live in harmony with the environment. The first aim of this research is to investigate how Environmental Education in teaching chemistry can shape citizens who are critical of environmental issues. This type of qualitative research uses a participatory action research approach to describe reality and is more concerned with the process than the product. The methods used in collecting data are observation, documentation, and questionnaires. The instrument used in collecting data is a questionnaire. The technique used to analyze the information is descriptive qualitative analysis. The result of the research is that the students express their perceptions about the environment and how human actions disturb nature globally. Individual accountability is becoming an essential objective for promoting a new model of development, which many refer to as sustainable development. In short, it is also proved that the insertion of Environmental Education in Chemistry class is essential for education and the social environment. It is because environmental education provides training to students and the entire school community on the importance of knowing environmental preservation mechanisms.","PeriodicalId":107037,"journal":{"name":"Indonesian Journal Of Educational Research and Review","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129969242","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But at this time, many students still need an independent attitude in learning, which impacts low student learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the level of learning independence towards improving mathematics learning outcomes based on educational level. This type of research is meta-analysis. This study uses a meta-analysis method, where data is collected from relevant research results, including the Fisher's test, t-test, correlation test, number of participants, and classical completeness. Data collection and research instruments were taken from relevant journals in this study. The data collection technique that can be carried out in this study is by looking for articles that match the predetermined criteria. Data were analyzed using JASP software with each data's input effect size and standard error values. The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant influence between learning independence on mathematics learning outcomes at all levels of SD, SMP, SMA, and PT by 20% (sufficient category), besides that at the SD level by 17% (low category), at the SMP level by 22% (enough category), at the high school level by 25% (good category) and PT level by 11% (low class). So the effect of independent learning on student learning outcomes at the SMA level is higher than at the SD, SMP, and PT levels.","PeriodicalId":107037,"journal":{"name":"Indonesian Journal Of Educational Research and Review","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132349589","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to analyse implementation of operational assistance policy for the implementation of early childhood education in improving quality of PAUD. This research approach is a qualitative research with case study method. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that in the preparation of the budget for the BOP carried out at the school it involves the entire school community, namely the principal, teachers, and class coordinators representing the children's parents. Evaluation activities in the PAUD BOP program are carried out routinely and scheduled for activities in schools. The obstacle in the preparation of the BOP is the decrease in the number of children so that it has an impact on the decrease in the regular BOP obtained, this affects the decrease in the budget that has been allocated for several elements of learning. The solution to overcome obstacles in the formulation of BOP PAUD policies is to seek other sources of funds to cover the lack of BOP, namely funds from the Foundation, and sort out the sources of funds for various school expenses.","PeriodicalId":107037,"journal":{"name":"Indonesian Journal Of Educational Research and Review","volume":"101 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116358672","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
