Lanolin is one of the ingredient for processing lipstick. a solid bar-shaped cosmetic preparation, serves as a lip colorant in makeup. Lanolin lipstick, still in need of innovation, for example in colour. Organic colouring can use, among other things, colours from Rosella flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa L). The purpose of this study is to look at the microbiological and sensory properties of lanolin lipstick that has different amounts of Rosella flower extract (Hibiscus sabdariffa L) added to it. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) unidirectional pattern with four treatments, namely, 0%, 20%, 40%, and 60% levels of Rosella flower extract. The data obtained were analyzed by ANOVA (analysis of variance) to determine the effect of each treatment, and if the data showed differences with a significant level of 95%, then Tukey's multiple comparison test was carried out. The study found that adding different amounts of Rosella flower extract to lanolin lipstick did not have a significant effect (P > 0.05) on the total plate count (ALT) of lipstick during storage. However, it did have a significant effect (P< 0.05) on the hedonic test and hedonic quality of color parameters. In conclusion, the addition of 60% rosella flower extract to lanolin lipstick is able to suppress bacterial growth during the lipstick storage process. Rosella flower extract affects the colour of the lipstick which is getting redder, the aroma of the extract is stronger, the texture is smooth.","PeriodicalId":106164,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Peternakan Integratif","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141273802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Maize prices have a relationship with animal feed prices, especially for poultry. The objective of the study was to determine the marketing channel of maize, maize production, and factors affecting the price of maize as an animal feed ingredient. This study was conducted in Tigabinanga sub-district, Karo district, as the largest contributor to maize production in North Sumatra. The research used snowball sampling method. The total number of respondents in this research was 30 respondents. The results showed that farmers have 3 maize marketing channels in the study area. Total maize production is 2,556 tonnes/month, with an average of 85.2 tonnes/respondent/month. Factors that partially influence the price of maize as an animal feed ingredient are maize sales Kg/period (X1), seed price Rp/Kg (X2), and fertiliser price Rp/Kg (X3). In conclusion that there are three marketing channels that work together and the first channel is  farmers distribute to agents/small traders. The next channel is from small traders/agents to collectors. The collectors then market to individual storage warehouses.","PeriodicalId":106164,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Peternakan Integratif","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-06-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141273832","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As consequence the use of antibiotics as feed additives should be  prohibited because it has the potential to produce residues in livestock products and indirectly impact consumers. An experiment involving 100 forty-wk-old laying ducks was conducted for eight weeks to study the effects of fresh water fish (sapu-sapu fish -SSF) as single protein sources  on egg quality and heavy metal concentration. The SSF levels were 28 and 35% of the feed and the remaining constituent was rice bran with metabolizable energy approximately 2,943 and 2,934 kcal/kg, respectively. Fresh  water fish did not effect on egg quality measured except egg weight and shell thickness (63.2±0.30 to 67.9±0.22g) and shell thickness (0.50±0.04 to 0.52±0.04g) with increasing dietary SFF(P<0.05). Mean concentrations of heavy metals in local duck samples decreased in the order kidney>liver>egg>meat for Pb and liver>kidney>meat>egg for Cu. Lead concentrations in meat, eggs, liver and kidney were 1.267± 0.825, 1.311±0.737, 1.762±0.729 and 2.172±0.770 mg/kg respectively. These values were higher than the admissible amounts under the Indonesian National Standards (1.0 mg Pb/kg) and FAO (0.1 mg Pb/kg). Accumulation of Cu in the meat, eggs, liver and kidney was 12.798±4.181, 7.011±1.949, 30.165±16.561 and 14.392± 4.208 mg/kg respectively. These levels were also higher than that recommended by the European Commission. The conclusion of this study proved that feeding SSF to laying ducks raised by small farmers contained a significantly high concentration of heavy metals not appropriate for human consumption when high levels of SSF was fed","PeriodicalId":106164,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Peternakan Integratif","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139380591","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
