The health of the initiator system is assessed by safely measuring the resistance of the bridge wire element. This paper details a simple technique to safely and reliably measure the resistance of this bridge wire in igniter assembled condition. A ratiometric technique is employed which ensures that the measurement technique is independent of most of the circuit parameter variations. The voltages developed across the measuring line are fed as input to an Analog to Digital converter (ADC) and the output is displayed using low current displays. The circuit is capable of operation from a single AA cell of 1.5V, making it a low-voltage, low-power device. The ADC and integrated display is powered using a charge-multiplication technique, which ensures that the output current level are orders of magnitude below the No Fire Current (NFC) levels of the squib. Failure mode tests have been carried out extensively and the circuit is fail-safe even in case of multiple component failures. The circuit has been tested for various conditions and the worst case non-linearity is within 0.08% in Standard Room Condition (SRC) and within 0.2% under all environmental conditions.","PeriodicalId":106004,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 18th India Council International Conference (INDICON)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114862582","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the recent advancements in computer vision and image processing, several image and video dehazing techniques have been proposed in existing literature. This paper presents a state-of-the-art comparison of popular dehazing schemes along with an extension of the dark channel prior (DCP)-based approach for haze removal in videos. Lastly, all schemes are implemented to present an exhaustive performance comparison in terms of accuracy and other quantitative indices.","PeriodicalId":106004,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 18th India Council International Conference (INDICON)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127200668","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to get accurate modal parameters, as a first step, it is required to remove the non-linear trend of the signal. In the literature, many conventional methods such as filtering, averaging and peak detection techniques are employed for removing trend. In this paper, Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) method, an iterative algorithm is presented to detrend a signal. The EMD method and its variant are compared with another popularly used peak detection method referred to as the Zhou’s detrending algorithm to find the efficacy of the EMD methods. To test the algorithms, a four machine, two-area power system with three-wind farms is modeled and simulated to generate the power system signals which bring out non-linear and non-stationary nature. Further, the modal characterization is carried out employing Prony analysis.","PeriodicalId":106004,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 18th India Council International Conference (INDICON)","volume":"340 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126116717","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Though the efficiency and speed of the diagnosis process have increased due to the digitalization of healthcare data, it is at constant risk of cyberattacks. Medical images, in particular, seem to have become a regular victim of hackers, due to which there is a need to find a feasible solution for storing them securely. This work proposes a blockchain-based framework that leverages the InterPlanetary File system (IPFS) to provide decentralized storage for medical images. Our proposed blockchain storage model is implemented in the IPFS distributed file-sharing system, where each image is stored on IPFS, and its corresponding unique content-addressed hash is stored in the blockchain. The proposed model ensures the security of the medical images without any third-party dependency and eliminates the obstacles that arise due to centralized storage.","PeriodicalId":106004,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 18th India Council International Conference (INDICON)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126002868","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dependencies among these modalities have to be leveraged to gain new perspectives and to improve the accuracy of the underlying performance measures. Retrieving this dependency information from the multimodal data helps in dimensionality reduction, and performance improvements. However, capturing these dependencies can be a major challenge due to a complex heterogeneity profile in the data. In this paper, we develop a dependency-based model for classification with multimodal data representation and information fusion using regular vine (R-Vine) copula theory. The efficacy of the developed models is tested on STISEN and TMD datasets for human activity recognition and transport mode detection applications. Further, we show that the F1 scores obtained for our model-98.50 percent and 98.649 percent for STISEN and TMD respectively - are better compared to existing dependency-blind architectures. These dependency-blind architectures use feature extraction using a deep neural network followed by (a) no information fusion, and (b) R-Vine-based fusion.","PeriodicalId":106004,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 18th India Council International Conference (INDICON)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122729210","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Even more challenging is to design an optimized portfolio with weights allocated to the stocks in a way that optimizes its return and the risk. This paper presents a systematic approach towards building two types of portfolios, optimum risk, and eigen, for four critical economic sectors of India. The prices of the stocks are extracted from the web from Jan 1, 2016, to Dec 31, 2020. Sector-wise portfolios are built based on their ten most significant stocks. An LSTM model is also designed for predicting future stock prices. Six months after the construction of the portfolios, i.e., on Jul l, 2021, the actual returns and the LSTM-predicted returns for the portfolios are computed. A comparison of the predicted and the actual returns indicate a high accuracy level of the LSTM model.","PeriodicalId":106004,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 18th India Council International Conference (INDICON)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122321704","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This converter is also designed in such a way to make it optimal for green energy applications with the feature of continuous current at the input and boosted gain. The presented modified SEPIC converter provides enhanced voltage gain employing two switches and two voltage multiplier cells. The proposed converter also incorporates a passive clamping circuit which decreases the switch voltage stress and enhances the converter’s gain. When interrelated to further converters, the designed circuit has improved gain, better efficiency and reduced losses. Thus, the presented paper validates the operation of modified SEPIC converter and their performance is closely analyzed and compared to that of other converters. To ensure the converter’s efficiency, simulation results for 100W/40 kHz with a 20 V input voltage source are provided.","PeriodicalId":106004,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 18th India Council International Conference (INDICON)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129498446","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These GPS receivers can be misguided by intentional interference like jamming, meaconing, and spoofing. This paper presents efficient spoofer design by incorporating spoofer’s processing time (spoofers receiver end to transmitter end processing delay), tracker processing time (delay due to state estimation), the difference in clock offsets (spoofer and target have different clock offsets) into account for generating spoofed measurements. These delays are incorporated in the spoofer’s external delay to create a spoof measurement set. A spoofer with a target tracking module was proposed earlier without considering the significance of time delay information. The delay due to the tracker processing time has also been considered in this proposed spoofer design. The simulations are carried out for two test cases: the processing time delay and the difference in clock offset delay. Interactive multiple models (IMM) based dynamic state estimation filter is used to track the target (GPS receiver) of interest owing to its best performance compared with other filters. The proposed spoofer design outperforms the existing spoofer designs in position root mean square error (PRMSE). In addition to that, we also accomplished high performance of spoofing by increasing the number of spoofed satellite signals.","PeriodicalId":106004,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 18th India Council International Conference (INDICON)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129777417","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nowadays MANETs are used in battlefield applications, crisis management applications etc. as it is compatible for multimedia data exchange in a mobile environment. In recent days, the security of MANET has become the primary concern. Due to its lack of centralized management MANETs are more prone to malicious attacks which includes eavesdropping, impersonation, denial of service etc. Because of its dynamic nature, limited battery power, bandwidth constraints and mobility etc. Building a secure environment for MANET is a very hard task.
