These biblical metaphors were then developed by successive Church Fathers, which helped to create a universal Christian language. These truths, invariably proclaimed in the Catholic Church for centuries. Faustina not only strongly believed in them, but also experienced their realities. Her testimony is of great importance to all, both believers and people who do not admit their faith in Christ preached in the Church. The Saint lived and experienced God’s love, which is deeply reflected in the Four Last Things. So it was natural for her to experience the presence of Jesus Christ, who was for her a real, living reality she was experiencing throughout her life.","PeriodicalId":105985,"journal":{"name":"Polonia Sacra","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131703422","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They form a specific group in society, as they are endowed with special sensitivity and above-average needs of spiritual care. The Church strives to support such people by constantly calling for care and sensitivity to their presence in various environments. This article attempts to conceptualize the specificity of mental disorders in the context of the sacrament of penance and reconciliation. Moreover, a set of operating principles has been suggested that will enable people affected by mentioned above disorders to experience the sacrament properly.","PeriodicalId":105985,"journal":{"name":"Polonia Sacra","volume":"85 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124353587","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Half of all inhabitants of the Old Continent will suffer from mental disorders at least once in their life. Therefore, the Church should reflect on the pastoral care of such people. In the preparation for the use of the sacraments, the cooperation of the clergyman with other hospital staff, especially pastoral assistants, is of great importance. The article draws attention to the general aspects of pastoral support for patients with mental disorders and presents how such persons should prepare for confession and the Eucharist.","PeriodicalId":105985,"journal":{"name":"Polonia Sacra","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124756050","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Darwin challenged the traditional Christian belief that species were created separately over time that Genesis calls the six days. After Darwin, two opposite theories have been formulated within Christianity: one of them is young Earth creationism the other theistic evolution. Unfortunately, both theories encounter serious problems. For this reason we postulate a third way, a theory called progressive creation. This concept meets the requirements of both modern science and traditional Christian theology.","PeriodicalId":105985,"journal":{"name":"Polonia Sacra","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129306914","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Tego zadania wielokrotnie podejmował się F.J. Sheen na łamach audycji „The Catholic Hour”, w których przemawiał do swoich słuchaczy przez ponad 20 lat. Kapłan, poza interpretacją samych słów Jezusa, omawiał m.in. życie Matki Bożej, wyjaśniał słuchaczom Mszę Świętą, rozważał prośby z modlitwy „Ojcze Nasz”, omawiał cnoty, grzechy główne, błogosławieństwa Jezusa oraz kierował rozważania, do konkretnych grup osób, które wyrzuciły Boga z życia.
