The macroscopic model is described within the mean-field approximation while noise effect due large reservoir fluctuation has been averaged out to zero. We chose a simple dissipative memory kernel to produce a time-dependant oscillating dissipation. Our numerically calculated phase-space and Lyapunov exponents shows enhances route to chaos as one increases driven dissipations amplitude.","PeriodicalId":10571,"journal":{"name":"Communications in Physics","volume":"5 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138948680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The model reasonably replicates the experimental adsorption isotherm of the original framework at -196oC within the pressure range up to 1 bar. The strongest adsorption site of the new Mg-MOF-74 isoreticular exhibits saturation at lower pressure compared to the original one, despite a lower adsorption energy. This emphasizes the importance of vibrational, rotational, and translational contributions for comprehensively assessing the site’s adsorption performance. Because only the strongest adsorption site was taken into account for the site-site interaction, the model is only valid for low coverage rates of secondary sites. Consequently, it strongly overestimates the hydrogen uptake of the original isoreticular at higher temperature and pressure ranges where the cumulative coverage rate of the secondary adsorption sites is comparable to that of the strongest sites. In contrast, the model remains valid for the new isoreticular at a specific temperature between -40oC and 60oC within the pressure range up to 25 bar where the coverage rate of the secondary adsorption site is low. Its predictions highlights the significantly improved performance of the new framework compared to the original framework. Specially, it achieves a gravimetric hydrogen uptake value between 2.8 wt% and 1.9 wt% at a pressure of 25 bar within the mentioned temperature swing which is substantially higher than that of the original framework.","PeriodicalId":10571,"journal":{"name":"Communications in Physics","volume":"43 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138952940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using the full vector finite element method for anisotropic perfectly matched layers, we numerically examine the dispersion characteristics of the PCF in the wavelength range spanning from 1.5 µm to 6.0 µm. The results reveal that photonic crystal fibers exhibit a variety of dispersion properties, including all-normal and anomalous dispersion, featuring one or two zero dispersion wavelengths (ZDWs). We propose two designs with optimal dispersion characteristics based on our numerical simulations. These designs have small lattice constants (Ʌ = 1.0 µm; Ʌ = 1.5 µm) and low fill factors (d/Ʌ = 0.3; d/Ʌ = 0.35). Furthermore, these selected fibers offer high nonlinearity and low confinement loss, making them excellent candidates for a wide range of optical applications.","PeriodicalId":10571,"journal":{"name":"Communications in Physics","volume":"15 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138952038","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The flux-weighted average cross section for the 186W(γ,p)185Ta reaction induced with 70 MeV bremsstrahlung end-point energy was measured using the activation method in combination with off-line gamma activity measurement. The 27Al(γ,2pn)24Na monitor reaction was used for the determination of the bremsstrahlung flux. The bremsstrahlung photons used to produce the photonuclear reactions were generated from a thin tungsten (W) converter by bombardment with a 70 MeV electron beam. The experimental flux-weighted average cross section is compared with the theoretical prediction, for which the absolute cross section was calculated using the TALYS 1.95 code and the bremsstrahlung spectrum was simulated using the computer program MCNPX. Therefore, TiO2 is used as an additive for the self-cleaning coating and paint industry. In this work, SiO2 is used in the TiO2/SiO2 mixture as the nucleus to homogenize the dispersion components. TiO2 and SiO2 nanoparticles are synthesized by sol-gel method combined with ultrasound that suits for the size range of 10-30 nm. The nano mixture is added to two green paint samples as Green Lable Paint EXT (exterior wall paint) and Green Lable Paint INT (interior wall paint) to replace antibacterial agents in paint formulations. Fourier transform infrared spectra (FTIR) and water contact angle (WCA) method were performed to characterize and evaluate the hydrophobic layer formed on the surface of the samples. Then, the barrier property of the PU/SA was assessed by using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and accelerated salt spray test method. The results show that the presence of the stearic acid layer was effective for both hydrophobic and barrier properties, especially the samples prepared with 3 wt.% stearic acid. The chemical composition, morphological and structural properties of the obtained CuO nanoparticles were investigated by the Raman and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopies, the field-emission scanning electron microscopy, and the X-ray diffraction. The results reveal that although the pH value does not affect the formation of the CuO phase, it strongly influences the crystalline size, the morphology, and the particle-agglomeration level of CuO. The differences in the morphology and the crystalline size of CuO nanoparticles are ascribed to various H+/OH- ratios of the growth solution. Meanwhile, with the optimized particle size, the CuO nanoparticles-based sensor can be used as a potential candidate for CO and/or H2 detection.","PeriodicalId":10571,"journal":{"name":"Communications in Physics","volume":"36 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138587568","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

If neutrino flavors are converted fast in the cores, the efficiency of neutrino heating is enhanced and can change the dynamics of the shock wave in supernovae. In this article, we investigate the dynamics of fast neutrino flavor conversions with collisions under energy-dependent treatment in detail. For the first time, we use a realistic initial condition, which is taken from the results of the self-consistent, realistic Boltzmann simulations in two spatial dimensions under axisymmetry. We report that the neutrino flavor conversion will be significantly enhanced if the energy-dependent collision term is considered in the neutrino transport equation which has been ignored in previous studies. We present the preliminary results of our investigation here, which are consistent with other studies which were conducted under simple treatments. It is believed that such findings may have an impact on the explosion mechanism of core-collapse supernovae, mbox{nucleosynthesis and neutrino astronomy.","PeriodicalId":10571,"journal":{"name":"Communications in Physics","volume":"35 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138601558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
