The proposed hybrid modulation strategy combines the benefits of space vector, such as switching sequences flexibility and the simplicity of the modulation based on the geometric approach. As a result, it is possible to obtain multilevel equivalent voltages, as well as the equal sharing among the converter leg currents. In addition, the virtual vector concept is used which leads to the determination of the voltage limits required to impose the equal sharing among the leg currents and to avoid the saturation of the coupled inductor. The hybrid design consists of three phases. First, FLC structure including the number of rules, membership function, inference, and parametric relations, are chosen based on heuristic knowledge about the unicycle. Then, based on a linearized model and linear feedback, the output parameters of FLC are determined quantitatively for the stabilization of the unicycle. Next, fine tuning of FLC output parameters are carried out using an iterative learning tuning (ILT) algorithm, where ILT iteratively minimizes an objective function that specifies the desired unicycle performance. The rationale of introducing the hybrid FLC design is to fully utilize available information, which is achieved by combining model-based and model-free designs, hence improve FLC performance. The SRM is fed by a three-phase unidirectional power converter having three legs, each of which consist of two IGBTs and two free-wheeling diodes. The SRM model incorporates all non-linearities between excitation currents, rotor position and flux linkages. For the purpose of control SRM drives, an improvement of the TDF method is proposed for high-speed applications, in order to reduce torque ripple. The real-time simulation of the drive is conducted on the RT-LAB realtime simulation platform. Since the converter is current-controlled, the simulator latency is critical to achieving good accuracy and to avoiding current overshoot. The paper demonstrates that this type of drive with simple hysteresis current control can be simulated in real-time at a time-step of 15µs, with good accuracy. Some applications require that the output power can be reduced below 10%. However, in some ballast designs, there is no easy way to reduce the output power to the required minimum level without finding instabilities that could lead to light flicker, audible noise or arc extinction. In this paper, a new power-dependent small-signal model for fluorescent lamps is presented. This model is based in a double-pole double-zero approximation. The generalized multifrequency averaging technique is then used to analyze the lamp-ballast interaction in resonant inverters. In order to cancel the effect of the resulting offset capacitance, a circuit technique called electrical zoom-in is applied in the interfacing circuit. In this paper, these fabrication techniques are used to construct capacitive accelerometers with a suspended proof-mass. The proof-mass and the supporting springs are etched out of copper using standard photolithography, and they are released using selective laser ablation of the substrate. Later, the structure is bonded to another PCB by soldering with a hot plate. All the processing electronics can also be integrated in the same PCB. These conditions ensure the closed-loop stability for a set of admissible loads which is supposed known a priori. Such connection is obtained due to open-end winding arrangement of the transformer. As done in a conventional configuration, the proposed one aims to regulate the voltage at the load terminal in the case of sags/swell, distortion, or unbalance in the grid voltage. A suitable control strategy is presented, as well as the operating principles, characteristics and a comparison between the proposed and conventional configurations. The main advantages of the proposed topology are: a) reduced harmonic distortion (operating at the same switching frequency), b) reduced converter losses (operating with the same harmonic distortion), and c) fault tolerance capability. The proposed DVR system is suitable for medium voltage application. The CliffRider system comprises an autonomous single wheeled platform, tethered by two winches mounted on the plateau of the cliff of descent. The simulation integrates the state variable rates derived from discrete evaluation of highly non-linear equations of motion. Equations of motion are derived from the principles of Lagrangian Dynamics with non-holonomic constraints.
