This study aims to examine the relationship of sea surface temperature (SPL) to skipjack catches and the characteristics of skipjack catches in Manokwari waters. Data, both catch data and sea surface temperature data, are collected through field surveys by following fishing operations. Furthermore, the data were analyzed descriptively using graphs and mathematically like von Bertalanffy's growth model. The results of this study found that the very small variability of SPL could not explain the variation in the volume of fishermen's catches in Manokwari waters. However, a high SST during the May - August 2013 period is thought to affect the size of the skipjack caught, where the average size of the fish caught inhabited areas near sea level. In addition, the growth of skipjack fish in Manokwari waters is relatively fast with a growth coefficient of 0.42 per year1 and natural mortality between 0.79 per year and 0.81 per year.","PeriodicalId":105035,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Sumberdaya Akuatik Indopasifik","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121352700","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Power plants for using diesel as an engine can also come from sunlight as an alternative source of electrical energy. The measurement of solar energy in Indonesia is 4.8 kWh /m2. This renewable energy is in suitable for the Indonesian topography. Thus, the energy from the sunlight around the equator is so abundant that its availability is always available throughout the year, except when it rains. Utilization of solar energy can be used as a substitute for conventional energy which is starting to be limited and the price is quite expensive. Therefore, the data that are presented in this paper comes from publications, manufacturers, relevant official government documents, scientific publications and other publications. Utilization of solar energy as electrical energy can be done by using solar panels mounted in ships. The generated electricity can be used to turn on electrical equipment and send lights at night, and can be used as fishing aids. The use of solar power plant can also have a positive impact on fishermen, such as improving health, economy, environmental sustainability, and building independent fishermen. \u0000","PeriodicalId":105035,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Sumberdaya Akuatik Indopasifik","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126829616","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ecological study of the waters of Tunda Serang Banten Island, especially the general condition of its mangrove forests, was carried out in January 2014. This was intended as a baseline in evaluating mangrove management in Indonesia (especially Tunda Serang Banten Island) and the presence of Indonesian mangrove forests could be maintained in the future. Data on the condition of the mangrove vegetation of Tunda Serang Banten Island was collected by making line transects and plots drawn from the reference point (outermost mangrove stands) and perpendicular to the coastline to the mainland. While the measurement of water quality is done in-situ. The results showed that the growth of the mangrove forest of Tunda Serang Island in Banten on the East (Station 1) was younger than that in the South (Station 2). Then the density is also higher in the East than in the South, but the condition of the mangrove forests of both stations is still relatively good and very dense. In addition, the environmental quality of Tunda Island's mangrove vegetation is still relatively high, the diversity and dominance of mangrove forests is low, uniformity in a somewhat balanced condition, regular distribution patterns and water quality parameters are not a barrier to the growth of mangroves.","PeriodicalId":105035,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Sumberdaya Akuatik Indopasifik","volume":"109 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124744821","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These conditions encourage the cultivation of this commodity continues to proliferate. Because of that, availability of Gracillaria sp seeds is available both in quantity and quality. One effort that can be done in handling the Gracillaria sp spores through environmental engineering. One such factor is fisheries salinity. The difference in salinity supports the increase in Gracillaria spores so that it affects spore growth. The aim of the study was to study the growth of Gracillaria spores cultured on different salinity media. The method used is a laboratory experiment method with a completely randomized trial design (CRD) with forty salinity preparations (23 ppt, 26 ppt, 29 ppt, and 32 ppt) and is repeated three times. The resulting data were then analyzed by analysis of variance. The results showed the highest spore growth at 23 ppt salinity with the number of spores (560.9 Ind / cm2), then 26 ppt salinity (438.8 Ind / cm2), then 32 ppt salinity (429.9 Ind / cm2) and low in salinity 29 with the number of spores (277.8 Ind / cm2). The aim of this study was to determine the biological aspects of Loligo sp. including the sex ratio, size distribution, growth pattern, and the lengthy relationship of Loligo sp. from Manokwari waters. This research was conducted in January until March 2017, in three landing sites of squid (Loligo sp) namely Fanindi Pantai, Borobudur and Arowi village. The method used is observation technique in the laboratory includes measurements of length and weight to find out the size distribution and growth pattern of captured Loligo sp. and surgery to determine the sex ratio. The male-female sex ratio of Loligo sp. was 1.3: 1.0 with a range of coat length and wight dominated by male. The growth pattern of Loligo sp in Manokwari waters is negative allometric, where the length increase is faster than the weight gain.","PeriodicalId":105035,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Sumberdaya Akuatik Indopasifik","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124365820","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
