Path analysis, a major tool in the network analysis trio, consists of two crucial steps-weight assignment and search method. An innovative search scheme namely, key-route search method is found to be capable of retrieving multiple paths. Recently, a framework that explored the power of combined networks or NoNs (Network of networks) for interdisciplinarity assessment was proposed. In this work, a framework that utilizes the strength of NoNs and the integrated approach to path analysis is developed for mining the interdisciplinary trajectories in techno-scientific literature. Among the two major weight assignment schemes such as SPC and FV gradient schemes, FV gradient is found to better leverage key-route search scheme in mining multiple evolutionary trajectories with interdisciplinary interactions. This framework can serve as a handy tool for a multitude of beneficiaries including policy makers.","PeriodicalId":10501,"journal":{"name":"COLLNET Journal of Scientometrics and Information Management","volume":"14 1","pages":"285 - 300"},"PeriodicalIF":1.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1080/09737766.2021.1920066","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42259625","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For the period of 2009 to 2017, bibliometric data on cloud computing research was retrieved from the Scopus database. Online search traffic data on the search term “cloud computing” was obtained from Google trends for the period under review. Our results show that there was a strong significant correlation between internet penetration and the total number of scholarly outputs within the given period for all countries studied, suggesting that an increase in internet penetration is directly proportional to increase in cloud computing research activities and outputs from a given region. The penetration of internet technologies contributes significantly to the advancement of research efforts and scholarly outputs in ICT-related endeavours.","PeriodicalId":10501,"journal":{"name":"COLLNET Journal of Scientometrics and Information Management","volume":"14 1","pages":"393 - 410"},"PeriodicalIF":1.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1080/09737766.2021.1927881","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45411264","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The journals were selected based on their high impact factor published between 2008 and 2017. A PHP script was used to crawl the Uniform Resource Locators collected from the references. A total of 12,251 articles were downloaded and 5,55,428 references were extracted. A total of 1,02,718 URLs were checked for their availability. Further, the lexical features of URL like file extension, path depth, character length and the top-level domain were determined. The research findings indicated that the percentage of web citations in articles has been continuously increased from 2008 to 2017 in both disciplines. The result of the accessibility check indicated that more number of URLs in CMS journal articles were accessible than in LIS journal articles. The majority of errors in both the disciplines were due to HTTP 404 error code (Not found error). The findings of the study will be helpful to authors, publishers and editorial staff to ensure that web citations will be accessible in future.","PeriodicalId":10501,"journal":{"name":"COLLNET Journal of Scientometrics and Information Management","volume":"14 1","pages":"335 - 348"},"PeriodicalIF":1.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1080/09737766.2021.1915721","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43398289","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are various methods and perspectives to answer this question, but few studies focus on the development of travel motivation research. As a result, by investigating 1675 publications from 1990 to 2019, we provide a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the status quo and emerging trends of tourist travel motivation research. The findings are as follows: (1) The active countries in this area are The USA, The UK, China and Australia. (2) “Tourist personal values” and “preferences” are the emerging trends in recent years. (4) Most of travel motivation studies belong to the disciplines of social science, hospitality, business & economics, environmental science & ecology, management, transportation, engineering and psychology. By analyzing the development of travel motivation area from historical, conceptual and geographical perspectives, the hot spots in certain periods and the current status of this area are analyzed in detail. In this paper, we contribute to providing the visualized knowledge domain of travel motivation research, which helps researchers who are interested in this area to learn the development of travel motivation research in the recent 3 decades more directly. Besides, understanding the research fronts in different periods also enables decision makers, especially managers in the tourism industry to know more about their consumers so that they can set effective marketing strategies accordingly.","PeriodicalId":10501,"journal":{"name":"COLLNET Journal of Scientometrics and Information Management","volume":"14 1","pages":"257 - 283"},"PeriodicalIF":1.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1080/09737766.2021.1906779","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42981680","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Yoga is practiced in different parts of the world. Yoga acknowledges the unity of mind, body and spirit, mind-body fitness, and helps people pursue peace and mindfulness in their lives. This bibliometric study aims to map the trend of yoga research globally using bibliometric tools. Methods : We have employed advance search in PubMed using the specific MeSH term “Yoga” and other yoga similar words such as “Yogic”, “Pranayama” and “Asana”. We haven’t restricted the timeline or country-specific for the search. We have curated the bibliometric data by the year of publication, by the name of the journal, and by the number of authors contributed. Findings : We retrieved 4,320 research papers from the PubMed database. The research article publications on yoga have increased tenfold after the year 2000. The original articles and clinical studies were common articles published over the last two decades in the yoga system. The International Journal of Yoga has the highest number of yoga research publications. Nearly 80 % of articles were published by less than five authors. Conclusion : Globally, increased investment and high attention on yoga have resulted in an increase in research publications. The scientific study of Yoga has increased substantially in recent years and many clinical trials have been designed to assess its therapeutic effects and benefits.","PeriodicalId":10501,"journal":{"name":"COLLNET Journal of Scientometrics and Information Management","volume":"14 1","pages":"301 - 309"},"PeriodicalIF":1.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1080/09737766.2021.1913976","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46716911","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Indeed, Jorge E. Hirsch, a physicist at University of California San Diego, developed and suggested h-index in 2005. At the time, h-index could present a score, which successfully integrated the number of articles and citations for a researcher. Thus, it could simultaneously assess the quality and quantity of a researcher’s total publications. It was also simple and easy to understand. Accordingly, h-index received much attention all around the world and became popular very soon. So that, currently in many scientific societies, it is considered as a factor to compare the scientific impact and credit of researchers. However, h-index has received many criticisms since its introduction. Here, I want to mention some of its defects and weaknesses, as a factor assessing the scientific impact and credit of researchers, from my point of view. However, these defects also has been discussed previously in different manners. Finally, this letter is going to conclude that nowadays, we need a more comprehensive ranking-factor (as an appropriate alternative for h-index) that keeps the advantages of h-index, while lacks its weaknesses.","PeriodicalId":10501,"journal":{"name":"COLLNET Journal of Scientometrics and Information Management","volume":"14 1","pages":"331 - 333"},"PeriodicalIF":1.0,"publicationDate":"2020-07-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1080/09737766.2021.1906183","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45713029","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
