Nowadays, a message traveling through Internet is relatively simple to be read or modified. This is due to the complexity of network and the existence of many points of attack. SOAP is a protocol specification for invoking methods on servers, services, components and objects, a way to create widely distributed complex computing environments that run over the Internet using existing Internet infrastructure. SOAP is about applications communicating directly with each other over the Internet in a very rich way. The simple object access protocol (SOAP), allows communication across heterogeneous platforms. Some of the security procedures (authentication, authorization and encryption) are needed to represent a Web service protocols. Sensitive information is used across the network. This paper focuses on the attacks of the message by intruders and how to prevent these messages when they are exchange data between server and clients, or when traveling queries through the application web service. Where protocol binding framework used to allow SOAP messages to be transported using different protocols (HTTP, SMTP,...) The development of security infrastructure to provide secure communications among users using \"encryption\" for SOAP messages for queries transfer, and establishment of aframework to develop security applications and other information queries, to solve the problem of many attacks as an intruders. Some data frequently contain missing values such as gene expression data, which most of its down stream analyses for microarray experiments require complete data. In the literature many methods have been proposed to estimate missing values via information of the correlation patterns within the data matrix. In this report we describe an evaluation of top three current methods including a neural network method and two imputation methods on multiple types of data including microarray data, time series data such as air pollutant data and phytoplankton data. Based on the overall performance of the method, we then determine the most appropriate method that can be applied to various data sets. We found that the optimal method (local least square imputation (LLS) and Bayesian principle component analyses (BPCA)) are all highly competitive to each other in overall results. We tested with radial basis function (RBF) network method which is one of the neural network methods and found that, the overall performance of RBF network is lower than BPCA method and LLS method. According to the overall NRMSE of the three methods, the BPCA method provides the most accurate estimation for missing values.","PeriodicalId":103889,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Electronic Design","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121239030","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a reconfigurable wireless sensor network platform for reliable detection and quick reporting of random and temporary events is being described. Bluetooth, which has the key features like low cost, low power and robustness, is used to establish the communication between the sensor nodes. To have the advantage of multi-hop routing and easy expansion of the network, tree topology is used. Altera's Cyclone Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) device, equipped with a configurable NIOS II soft-core is used as a sensor node. Users demand more on higher and flexible bandwidth together with high quality of service (QoS). These problems require TSPs to seek new network technology that can meet such challenges. Metro Ethernet has been regarded as the technology of choice due to its universality and high flexibility. This paper is about the design of Telekom Malaysia's TM600E that is a 10 Gigabit switch to be used as the edge provider edge (EPE) device in the metro Ethernet network. The Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (ATCA) has been chosen for providing the open architecture platform. It is presented as an initial stepping stone application that is suitable for clarifying the potential energy-efficiency advantages of reversible computing. It is based on using fairly standard, irreversible, semi-static CMOS logic. Care is taken to ensure that energy is not dissipated at subsequent counter bits, except those that are actually changing values on a given cycle. The design utilizes two-phase non-overlapping clocks, phi0 and phi1 with fast rise and fall times. For high system level energy-efficiency, the clocks were generated resonantly using the rotary clock scheme. XOR gates serve as phase detectors with AND gates helping to maintain parity checking. Transmission gates ensure a semi-static logic since the logic levels are restored only during the high portion of the clock period. We compared the power dissipation of an 8-bit counter designed using this logic to a standard 8-bit binary counter design using flip-flops in the 50 nm process and recorded a power advantage of about 60%. A prototype will be sent to MOSIS for fabrication to confirm energy advantage of this design after testing.","PeriodicalId":103889,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Electronic Design","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125739229","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The usage of free space optical communications is still rare in Malaysia due to environment factor. The FSO technology is also known as unguided beam or dasiaoptical wirelesspsila or infrared broadband. This study offers quick preliminary investigation on possible FSO performance based on wavelength selection before final commissioning and installation at site. Thus, FSO installers could make quick judgment before giving recommendation of a suitable wavelength to the customers. Preliminary evaluation of system performance of system performance is done by using local weather data obtained from metrological department. Current study among designers and FSO users show that 1550 nm light produce less atmospheric attenuation in the transmission under all weather conditions. In this study, a suitable wavelength for FSO system is found for a particular site in low visibility. The best wavelength selection would result in optimized quality of FSO transmission in hazy conditions.","PeriodicalId":103889,"journal":{"name":"2008 International Conference on Electronic Design","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133876638","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The work in this paper presents ASIC design flow for the implementation of adaptive FIR filter using MATLAB and Mentor Graphics IC design tools. Algorithm modeling is initially performed to obtain suitable parameters of the adaptive FIR filter, followed by RTL design using VHDL, ASIC synthesis to TSMC 0.25 mum process technology, physical modeling using schematic driven layout, parasitic extraction, and verification at every design steps.
