Mobility is increasingly demanded along with broadband. Certain to locations do not have the necessary infrastructure for broadband. Users that are residing in fixed locations will be able to access broadband service. They could access high-speed access line and enjoy for broadband services offered by service providers. The operators provide both conventional copper cables and fiber optic cables as access lines. Sometimes it is not possible for users that are nomadic or mobile to obtain broadband access line. Quite often small and medium-sized companies need to have an alternative solution to access broadband lines that are economic and technically simple. In the mean time, cellular service providers offer 3G Internet services with nationwide coverage to access the Internet. 3G service has reasonably high transmission speed. We had performed a similar research but changes in the platform and algorithm in the router challenged us to ensure sustainability of the concept. This research still develops an application that uses multi 3G services to provide broadband access. The solution that is being developed should sustain its economic nature and simplicity. Using available multiple 3G connections, a user can access large files of information through virtual high speed channel anytime and any where. A technique of paralleling multiple lower speed channels to obtain a virtual high-speed channel is called inverse multiplexing. To simplify the technique a router that has the ability to provide load balancing to several WAN lines is chosen. The inverse multiplexing concept through a number of channels with 3G services can run well for downloading files from a Web Server as shown by laboratory experiments and field measurements.","PeriodicalId":101856,"journal":{"name":"2016 6th International Annual Engineering Seminar (InAES)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128345954","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The pouring temperature was set at 750 °C and the mold temperature was preheated at 250 °C. The sample was solution heat treated at 540 °C for 4 hours followed by fast quenching immersing into the water at room temperature. Then, samples treat by natural aging at 30 °C and artificial aging at 150, 175, 200 °C for 2 h respectively. The result shows fatigue cycles is a significant increase. The highest fatigue live is 371,411 cycles from the sample by T6 heat treatment and aging temperature at 175 °C. It is shown that fatigue live of motorcycle wheel from A350 aluminum alloy by 350 rpm centrifugal casting can be improved by heat treatment, in this study by artificial aging with the temperature of 175 °C. It indicates that heat treatment can improve fatigue live of motorcycle wheel from A350 aluminum alloy by 350 rpm centrifugal casting.","PeriodicalId":101856,"journal":{"name":"2016 6th International Annual Engineering Seminar (InAES)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123370327","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Quality in the process of a distillation column that performed by using optimization techniques is not easy because distillation column is non-linear. The Distillation column is a class NLP (Non-Linear Programming) which can be solved by using a stochastic method to achieve the global solution. ICA has several advantages that can solve the complex problems, increasing the speed of converging value than other algorithms. In this research, binary distillation column model was built using neural network Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) with Non-Linear autoregressive with external input (NARX) structure and learning algorithm using Levenberg-Marquardt. This paper focus on optimization of product quality and quantity by changing the operational conditions of the column, i.e. molar flow feed, a composition of feed (methanol & water), molar flow reflux, re-boiler, and condenser heat duty. The output of optimization provides the better quality and quantity of product.","PeriodicalId":101856,"journal":{"name":"2016 6th International Annual Engineering Seminar (InAES)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122306505","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, estimation of open circuit voltage and electrical parameters of a battery was investigated. Two separate forgetting factors of Recursive Least Square (RLS) were used to process the data signal. One of it was used to estimate Open Circuit Voltage (OCV), while the other was used to estimate electrical parameters of the battery. The result is that OCV can be estimated with MSE 1.97×10−5. On the other hand, electrical parameters have also been successfully estimated. Since it is difficult to measure the real value of electrical parameters, the accuracy of the electrical parameters estimation is determined by MSE of terminal voltage estimation after the estimated electrical parameters' value are inserted into the circuit model. The MSE of terminal voltage estimation caused by electrical parameters estimation is 5.3×10−5.","PeriodicalId":101856,"journal":{"name":"2016 6th International Annual Engineering Seminar (InAES)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134189064","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The distributed version of the Voronoi locational optimization method is used to maximize the coverage. The stability results of the method is discussed. Numerical experiment is conducted to study the effect of network topology and interest function. The distributed Recursive Least Square method based on Alternating Minimization Algorithm Framework is used to estimate the interest function. The correctness and effectiveness of the method is proved through numerical simulation. Some modification to the RLS algorithm introduced to alleviate the problem of the lack of excitation. The combined algorithm is then simulated to show its effectiveness. The result of this work shows that the modified method perform slightly worse compared with the case of centralized locational optimization with known interest field due to the lack of excitation.","PeriodicalId":101856,"journal":{"name":"2016 6th International Annual Engineering Seminar (InAES)","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132946364","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Container dwelling time data in the seaport is used in this research which provide detailed information about the length of time the presence of container in the seaport. Data integrity is the main concern to ensure the dwelling time data is still original from the sender without any modification from attacker during stored in the cloud storage. Digital signature with using hashing algorithm SHA-256 is implemented to provide data integrity of dwelling time data. Digital signature needs a pair key (public and secret key) which is derived from RSA algorithm. The keys length used to encrypt and decrypt the dwelling time data are 1.024 bits, 2.048 bits and 3.072 bits. Experimental results verified that proposed method gave a real disparity between the data intact and data changed by the attacker. Although the attacker simply changed only one character of the data, the value of message digest will be totally changed, then the officers easily to decide if the data has been modified by the attacker. The approach used is strongly recommended to be applied to provide at the seaport with 100% effectiveness to provide data integrity of the dwelling time.","PeriodicalId":101856,"journal":{"name":"2016 6th International Annual Engineering Seminar (InAES)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123586931","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The DC house offers a distributed low-power low-voltage DC residential electricity rather than the legacy centralized AC system. DC house method therefore is a family-based approach that is scalable, affordable, and flexible. The DC house runs DC loads; thus, bypassing losses associated with the traditional AC system. The DC House may utilize human-powered energy sources, making it even more sustainable in producing off-grid electricity. The development of DC house prototypes in the U.S., Indonesia, and Philippines will be presented. Main components that make up the house will be described. Recent status of the prototype including the various projects that are being undertaken to complete the house will be discussed. The growth of pervasive and ubiquitous computing promotes development and improvement LMS rapidly. Shifting paradigm in designing LMS from technology-centered to user-centered design drives the developer to consider user experience as the primary concern to improve LMS. Therefore, evaluation and measurement of user experience for LMS become crucial. There were some studies have been conducted to evaluate and measure an LMS product in to gain feedback from the user. However, the studies implement a partial view of LMS product. They have conducted researches that limited to comparing LMS and getting perception rather than observing the quality of the LMS. This paper proposed an evaluation and measurement of user experience (UX) for LMS by implementing user experience questionnaire tools. The study aims to get feedback, benchmark and identify UX while interacting with an LMS. The data are taken from 38 students who have experience using two LMS in a different semester. The first LMS based on Moodle was implemented in the first semester (LMS 1), on the other hand, the LMS using Schoology was applied in the second semester (LMS 2). As the results, LMS 1 and LMS 2 got the relative different impression in user perception. Similarly, they also achieved a different level of relative quality. Generally, evaluation and measurement LMS using user experience questionnaire not only provide comprehensive user perception but also provide relative quality level about LMS. The results give the feedback and support when implementing the LMS.","PeriodicalId":101856,"journal":{"name":"2016 6th International Annual Engineering Seminar (InAES)","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131410738","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
