A high-speed camera was used to capture sequential images of multiple droplet impingements. Image processing technique was used to analyze the images from a high-speed camera. The effect of droplet frequency and Weber number to spreading ratio are investigated. The result of this study shows that frequency of multiple droplets has no significant effect to spreading ratio in the first drop. It is found that frequency of the multiple droplets causes a wider spreading ratio in the second drop. On a lower Weber number and lower surface temperature, the spreading ratio is smaller than on a higher weber number. It is also found that surface temperature has a strong correlation with the spreading ratio. It was also found that at a higher surface temperature, the spreading ratio of a droplet is relatively unstable in the function of time.","PeriodicalId":101856,"journal":{"name":"2016 6th International Annual Engineering Seminar (InAES)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115424754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The long-wavelength component is derived from the Global Geopotential Model (GGM). The medium-wavelength is obtained from terrestrial gravity data, and the short-wavelength component is derived from Digital Terrain Model (DTM) data. Among these three components, the GGM data contributes the most significant value and error. This study has evaluated the influence of the GGM resolution on local geoid model for the area with a good and dense terrestrial gravity data distribution, case study in Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY). This evaluation was carried out to determine the optimal degree value of the GGM for local geoid modelling. The gravimetric geoid computation was done using 2D FFT (Fast Fourier Transform). The utilized variation of the degree values were 360, 540, 720, 1080, 1440, 1800, 2160 and 2190 of the EGM2008 data. The evaluation of the variation of the GGM degree values contribution to the local geoid modelling was done using the geometric geoid derived from collocated GPS-levelling data. The results showed that using the lowest degree value (360 degree) produces the optimal (best) local geoid accuracy for the case study of DIY province.","PeriodicalId":101856,"journal":{"name":"2016 6th International Annual Engineering Seminar (InAES)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116120706","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This separation layer is evaluated from water temperature inside of the tank. However, difficulty in converting the temperature distribution into performance parameters has been found. In this research, determination of performance parameters from the temperature distribution is investigated. The temperature distributions are obtained from experimental data simulating charging cycle in hot stratified thermal energy storage tank with varies charging flow rates. Determination of the performance parameters are carried out based on temperature distribution utilizing Sigmoid Dose Response formulation. The results show that significant parameter namely thermocline thickness, cumulative cooling capacity and half-cycle Figure of Merit are precisely determined during the charging cycle. Moreover, the parameters growth is also capable to be evaluated precisely in the charging step. The research results proved the ability of SDR formulation for determining the performance parameter in stratified thermal energy storage tank. It his highlighted that the SDR formulation offers advantage of determination performance parameter accurately.","PeriodicalId":101856,"journal":{"name":"2016 6th International Annual Engineering Seminar (InAES)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116844571","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some advance subjects use this topic as the basic knowledge for analysis both electrical and information technology study programs, such as electromagnetism and computer vision. Main function of them is to represent such a position of a matter in space. In delivering this topic, some problems came up when it was presented by conventional method of teaching, such as by explaining it on a whiteboard or using presentation slides. Text font was limited related to the size of classroom. Steps of drawing the coordinate systems were not clear when it was only explained in one slide without any animations. By developing this topic in interactive multimedia, the teaching method can be improved using one of existing e-learning system in our university, called eLisa, which is not limited by time, distance, and also can overcome those mentioned problems due to this simple and clear visualization of Cartesian, Cylindrical, and Spherical Coordinate Systems. This research is conducted to investigate the benefit of the developed multimedia to improve knowledge of students about the topic. This investigation used t-test to find the significance improvement of learning the topics using this interactive multimedia by doing a hands on quiz and walkthru method to find the multimedia in eLisa. The result showed that by learning it in 15 minutes, the knowledge of students was improved based on data scores of quiz as a measurement instruments.","PeriodicalId":101856,"journal":{"name":"2016 6th International Annual Engineering Seminar (InAES)","volume":"46 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121153510","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Almost every task can be done by using digital technology. Internet users that increase rapidly also bring more useful data that we can make further analysis. One of the data that we can use is user opinion data. This information helps to make a decision, market research, and search engine. A technique that we can use to obtain this information is opinion mining or usually called sentiment analysis. There are two methods available, supervised and lexicon-based sentiment analysis. The supervised method has better performance than the lexicon-based method. However, supervised method performance is very dependent on the quality and the amount of training data. In this study, we would try to implement lexicon-based sentiment analysis on Indonesian data opinion. Overall, our approach has an accuracy of 0.68. This result is quite good as starting point for further research. This study is expected to trigger another study in lexicon-based sentiment analysis, especially for Bahasa Indonesia.","PeriodicalId":101856,"journal":{"name":"2016 6th International Annual Engineering Seminar (InAES)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131326721","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Wave energy converter using permanent magnet linear generator (PMLG) attracting more attention due to its efficiency of the generator and the elimination of translational to rotational motion converter in the generator, but PMLG suffer from electric power losses in the winding. In this paper, a tri core PMLG design which has minimum electric power losses is proposed. The electric power losses in the winding are ideally minimized using simulated annealing algorithm. Then, finite element analysis is used to analyze and verify the proposed design of PMLG. The small scale optimum design of this PMLG is simulated using an oscillating water column (OWC) chamber to analyze and investigate the performance of this linear generator. Simulation result shows that PMLG has a good efficiency and confirm the capability of this PMLG installed with OWC chamber in the south coast of Java Island.","PeriodicalId":101856,"journal":{"name":"2016 6th International Annual Engineering Seminar (InAES)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129068551","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is very important to make the processes effective and efficient. A software developer can use resource like user opinion data to get information, such as user request, bug report, and user experience. It represents user needs and can be used to help allocate the necessary effort of software evolution and maintenance. The amount of user opinion data is very large and is difficult manually process them. A Recent study has tried to implement collocation finding method to extract software features from user opinion data. However, it is not able to extract non-frequently mentioned features. In this paper, we proposed an improvement for software feature extraction from user opinion data. Linguistic rules were used to complement collocation finding method. Feature pruning was also added to eliminate irrelevant features. The result shows that the proposed method is able to extract more features than collocation finding method.","PeriodicalId":101856,"journal":{"name":"2016 6th International Annual Engineering Seminar (InAES)","volume":"190 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127316528","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Some cases are Merapi volcano eruption in year 2010 for seeing the cold lava flow impact and mapping the shelter area; and Kelud volcano eruption in year 2014 for seeing the impact and volumetric material calculation. This meet the need, because the Indonesia archipelago region is locate at Geologic features Pacific Ring of Fire belt. This led the region into a natural disaster-prone area of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. For keeping practical reliabilities, the UAV-based mapping system was built up by a common instrumentations from hobby shop, such as the aeromodelling plane platform and digital pocket camera. The system should have some basic products capabilities such as Orthophoto Image, and Digital Elevation Model (DEM). For seeing the manmade objects clearly, the ground sampling distance (GSD) of orthophoto image should less than 15 cm, while for volumetric material analysis the gridding DEM less than 2m spacing. The average horizontal positioning accuracy can be obtained up to 3 pixels or equivalent to sub-meter geometry accuracy. The Orthophoto image can provide visual interpretation such as the individual damage objects, and changes situation, while the DEM can derive terrain topography, and volumetric calculation with accuracy 3–5 pixel or sub-meter also.
