Plasma noise of the discharge, the main source of the noise present in the output of the laser, has been investigated. The threshold of noise-free operation is given as a function of the geometry of capillary elements, He-Ne mixing ratio, total gas pressure and discharge current. Signal-to-noise ratio measured on laser tubes constructed on the basis of the results obtained is greater than 40dB.</p></div>","PeriodicalId":100989,"journal":{"name":"Optics Technology","volume":"2 3","pages":"Pages 151-153"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1970-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1016/0374-3926(70)90040-2","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78028846","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
