Rathod","doi":"10.21276//ujds.2023.9.1.2","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21276//ujds.2023.9.1.2","url":null,"abstract":"Abstract: \u0000Introduction: Bioceramic technology has been introduced recently in endodontics to benefit from the hydroxyapatite formation during the setting reaction in the presence of tissue fluid and establish a chemical bond at the dentin interface. \u0000Aim: To compare the physiochemical properties (pH changes, releasing elements and solubility) of different newer Bioceramic sealer (Ceraseal) with mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA-Fillapex) sealers. \u0000Material and Method: Samples were prepared by using three different injectable sealer placed in 20 ring moulds, 10 of each sealer. Each sample was prepared with an internal diameter of 10 mm and a height of 3mm. The samples were digitally weighed to register the mass of each specimen before and after immersion in distilled water. The pH value was measured by a digital pH meter, releasing elements measured in atomic absorption spectrophotometer, and solubility measured in digital weighed machine. After 1, 7, 14 and 28 days, pH changes, released elements and solubility was the data obtained calculated and statistically analysed. \u0000Results: Ceraseal Sealer exhibited high alkaline pH over time and also showed significantly higher solubility (P < 0.05). \u0000Conclusion: Bioceramic sealer shows more alkalinity and calcium ion release compared to the MTA sealer. The alkalinity nature of the bioceramic sealer, corresponds to the increase in solubility. The prevention and management of microstomia contracture is an important aspect of facial burn. The goal of microstomia repair include the reconstruction of orbicularis sphincter for adequate lip functioning, obtaining lip symmetry and well positioned scar and adequate mouth opening. The standard treatment for the prevention and management of contracture includes compression therapy, grafting, mouth splinting, scar massage, excercise, patient education. However, there is a lack of information regarding the knowledge of Dental Implants and especially, the awareness of Peri-implantitis among students. \u0000Objective: To evaluate the knowledge and awareness of Dental Implants and Peri-implantitis among students of HCDSH, Hazaribag, Jharkhand. \u0000Materials and Method: A cross sectional Survey was conducted among 210 participants which included both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students of HCDSH, Hazaribag, Jharkhand using a self-explanatory questionnaire. It is observed that aggregation of genetic alterations is the ground for  advancement of a normal cell to cancer cells, which is known as a multi-step carcinogenesis. Because of this event, growth factor production increases as well as increase in total of receptors on cell surface and increased intracellular signal messengers. The present review scrutinize the existing documentation in the literature related to the oral squamous cell carcinoma. English language articles were searched in various databases such as Pubmed, Scopus, Science direct and Google scholar. The keyword used for searching are “oral squamous cell carcinoma”, “Genetics and Oral squamous cell carcinoma”,“Molecular mechanism in oral squamous cell carcinoma”. The presented case was of a 26‑year‑old male patient with discoloured tooth associated with external resorption and periapical pathology in relation to the upper front right tooth. Teeth with open apex due to root end resorption pose difficulties during endodontic treatment because of the wide‑open root apex and thin dentin walls.
