The paper sheds light on the healthcare seeking behavior of rural ethnic women by exploring the barriers of their healthcare accessibility, role of community organizations and traditional healers in shaping health seeking behavior, analyzing the impact of education, health literacy and healthcare awareness, and evaluating the role of family and community level power imbalance over the health seeking behavior of rural ethnic women. The study is based on both primary and secondary data. The fi ndings of the paper highlight that various social and cultural factors, including gender, ethnicity, and socio-economic status, intersected to in fl uence health seeking behavior among rural ethnic women in Bangladesh. Access to healthcare was found to be limited due to a lack of resources, transportation, and information. The paper argues that Community organizations and traditional healers played a minimal yet important role in shaping health seeking behavior, while the existing power imbalance in the family and community level has been found to be associated with health seeking behavior. The paper concludes the importance of addressing the multiple and intersecting factors that shape health seeking behavior among rural ethnic women in Bangladesh.","PeriodicalId":100115,"journal":{"name":"Arab Economic and Business Journal","volume":"17 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82380874","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study utilized a mixed methods approach comprising two surveys. The fi rst, examining the mechanics and structure of the shift. The second, a qualitative design eliciting the students ’ responses to EOL. While the students initially enjoyed the experience, as time progressed a sense of dissat-isfaction developed which became worse the longer the lockdowns lasted. The results assist policy makers, social workers, and student advisors to prepare for future crises that may result in another prolonged lockdown.","PeriodicalId":100115,"journal":{"name":"Arab Economic and Business Journal","volume":"97 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85316054","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

ARDL bounds tests were used to detect cointegration and understand the dynamic effect. This study mainly identi fi ed the positive and negative casualties because remittance and export have a signi fi cant positive role, and FDI has an adverse role in the economic growth process. People ' s behavioural patterns have also been signi fi cantly in fl uenced by the Covid-19 pandemic. A study conducted in Singapore found evidence of at least 17 behavioural changes triggered by Covid-19 pandemic. Another study done in Italy found that there was a high intention to adopt protective behaviours post the Covid-19 lockdown. Similarly, a study done in South Africa indicated enhanced behavioural responses to Covid-19 and consequently the evolution of preventive behaviours. The behavioural changes triggered by Covid-19 pandemic are likely to extend into consumption territory and impact consumer behaviour signi fi cantly. A seminal study done at Swiss Re Institute found that Covid-19 was likely to change the way people work, travel, communicate, shop and more. Our research is focussed on assessing pandemic in fl uenced alterations to habitual behaviour in the consumption arena. The study fi rst explores if habituated consumption behaviours have been altered in the areas of criteria of evaluation of product/brand alternatives and subsequently the choices that are being made in identi fi ed product categories. The study then follows up by assessing the causative factors that have prompted these changes. The fi nal part of research explores whether the newer habits that have replaced the older ones are here to stay or if there are merely a response to pandemic altered conditions with no permanency. The insights generated from the emergent themes clearly demonstrate that the degree of pandemic induced fear experienced in fl uences the degree of behavioural change including changes in consumption behaviour. This in turn in fl uences the longevity/permanency of behavioural changes (including changes to consumption behaviour). Personality is the moderating variable that dictates the degree of fear experienced.","PeriodicalId":100115,"journal":{"name":"Arab Economic and Business Journal","volume":"9 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84088058","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, its loan repayment performance is not as expected. Thus, the objective of this study was to examine the effect of socio-economic factors on loan repayment performance of the YRF in the Oromia Regional State. Data was collected through a survey involving 328 respondents. Results showed peer pressure, loan diversion, time of maturity of investment and predominant economic shocks affected loan repayment at a 5% significance level. The paper provides recommendations for the government to create awareness about the YRF loan, as well as to reconsider training and guidance, and to develop an alternative fund utilization strategy.","PeriodicalId":100115,"journal":{"name":"Arab Economic and Business Journal","volume":"45 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87898840","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
