Business process execution needs to support automated tasks execution as well as human tasks. The topic of this doctoral work is to enable a higher degree of automation of business processes in service-oriented systems. The doctoral work shows that for certain types of human tasks it is relevant to consider their further automation. A service-oriented architectural framework for human task execution is proposed.
