For plants, the control is called plant life structures. The traditional apparatuses for contemplating tissues are the paraffin block in which tissue is implanted and afterward segmented, the histological stain, and the optical magnifying lens. Advancements in electron microscopy, and the utilization of frozen tissue-areas have improved the detail that can be seen in tissues. With these devices, the old style appearances of tissues can be analyzed in wellbeing and illness, empowering extensive refinement of clinical finding and forecast. Conversely, a genuine epithelial tissue is available just in a solitary layer of cells held together by means of blocking intersections called tight intersections, to make a specifically porous boundary. This tissue covers all organism surfaces that associate with the external environment like the skin, the flying courses, and the stomach related bundle. It serves components of protection, emanation, and maintenance, and is disengaged from various tissues under by a basal lamina.","PeriodicalId":89963,"journal":{"name":"Journal of bioprocessing & biotechniques","volume":"20 1","pages":"1-1"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70047414","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Research in cell engineering has been able to develop mammalian cell lines able to produce higher yields of potent recombinant proteins using different genetic manipulations. However, the public demands for these potent drugs keep increasing and as such, it is needed for the field of biopharmaceuticals to create highly efficient producers to increase volumetric productivity and lower overall costs. Several ways have been investigated up to date, from impacting on cells' natural growth pattern, by apoptosis regulation and cell cycle control, enhancement of its production pathways, by stimulating secretary factors, and production of enzymes to use growth-related metabolites. These approaches, most of the time, involve a considerable amount of resources and time, with an impact mostly on a couple of natural traits of mammalian cells. The ideal scenario is to use other vectors to impact entire pathways and the global cellular functioning to provide better workhorses. Novel approaches, namely micro RNAs (miRNAs), RNA interferences (RNAi) and CRISPR/Cas9, have been used in the last few years and have demonstrated a broader impact on cellular pathways, and also more efficiency in recombinant genes transfection or complete knock-out of specific sequences. In this review, traditional and novel aspects are described, discussed while expressing what approach to be taken next would be of interest, from a productivity standpoint.","PeriodicalId":89963,"journal":{"name":"Journal of bioprocessing & biotechniques","volume":"10 1","pages":"1-8"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70061821","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, double chamber MFCs and multiple chambers MFCs were constructed for the generation of electricity from microorganisms present in organic waste samples. Samples were collected from organic wastes from local garbage dumping area in wetland and electricity was generated by the oxidation of endogenous microbes present in samples. Electricity production was gradually increased with growth of organisms, which was decreased after time interval due to depletion of organic matter. A steady state for electricity generation was maintained by adding external glucose. In total, 44 bacteria were isolated from the anodic biofilm. The electrogenic activity of each isolate was observed using artificial wastewater (without organic matter) as substrate. A significant generation of electricity (Maximum 5.78 V and 5.03 mA in multiple chambers MFC) was attained connecting multiple chambers containing MFCs and able to lid light. Microbial diversity on anodic biofilm was observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) image analysis. Characterization of anodic biofilm bacterial community suggested that 54.54% of electrogenic bacterial community belonged to Enterobacteriaceae family. In addition, the non-fermentative genera Pseudomonas, Moraxella, Vibrio, Burkholderia, Escherichia, Enterobacter, Photobacterium, Obesumbacterium, Sphingomonas and Raoultella also played an important role. MFC, a renewable method for electricity generation from biodegradable compounds without emission of carbon dioxide, is crucial for sustainable in electricity production in countries like Bangladesh as an environment friendly approach.","PeriodicalId":89963,"journal":{"name":"Journal of bioprocessing & biotechniques","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-10-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70322056","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence, this study investigated the effect of pre-drying and hydrocolloids batter coating during heat and moisture transfer of coated fried potato chips. The potato slices were pre-dried coated and deep fried at 180°C for 5 min. Chemical composition, color profile; thermo-physical properties, dimensionless numbers associated with convective heat and mass transfer coefficient and sensory properties were evaluated. The result revealed that chemical composition and color profile were significantly (p ≤ 0.05) affected by pre-drying and hydrocolloids batter coating. The density, viscosity, thermal conductivity, specific heat capacity and thermal diffusivity ranged from 333.3-444.0 kg/m3, 0.5281-0.5377 pas, 22.686-31.403 W/m °C, 198.686-258.383 KJ/kgK and 2.730 × 10-4-3.826 × 10-4 m2/s, respectively. The estimated Grashof, Prandtl, Schmidt, Nusselt and Sherwood numbers ranged between 0.024-0.032, 4.14-4.71, 2.053 × 10-5 and 2.739 × 10-5, 0.0167-0.0209, 9.70 × 10-8 and 1.02 × 10-7, respectively. The heat and mass transfer coefficient values ranged from 25.26 to 42.98 W/m2 °C and 3.80 × 10-12 to 4.01 × 10-12 m/s, respectively. Hydrocolloid type distinctly dictated considerable quality attributes and apparently potato chips pre-dried, coated with egg albumin and carboxyl methylcellulose were gum tragacanth demonstrates great reduction in the fat content of the chips which will in turn decline the tendency of obesity and equally reduce cholesterol level.","PeriodicalId":89963,"journal":{"name":"Journal of bioprocessing & biotechniques","volume":"8 1","pages":"1-9"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.4172/2155-9821.1000328","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43367258","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Efforts to lower this number by using multi-use mugs are often not supported by coffee shops due to doubts about food safety. The data collected in this study, show that the number detected in multi-use mugs can be neglected compared to the number of microorganisms found in freshly prepared coffee. The bacteria found were inter alia part of the human skin flora (e.g., Staphylococcus epidermidis), ubiquitous bacteria as Acinetobacter johnsonii, water bacteria like Pseudomonas aeruginosa and food spoiling bacteria as Bacillus cereus as well as different Enterobacteriaceae. \u0000Furthermore, our data suggest that a coffee output temperature of 68°C or higher significantly reduces the number of microorganisms present in the brewed beverage. These findings do not only help to enhance food safety, but can at the same time reduce the number of single-use mugs as the microbiological risk associated with multi-use mugs seems to be overestimated.","PeriodicalId":89963,"journal":{"name":"Journal of bioprocessing & biotechniques","volume":"8 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.4172/2155-9821.1000322","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44953784","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
