This study design used queasy Experiment one group pretest-posttest with a control group, studies were conducted in 32 patients with COPD in the Pavilion Cempaka Jombang General Hospital in February-March 2018. Respondents were divided into 4 groups aged between 50-79 years. Group 1 was given therapy Breathing Lips pursed, Distractive Auditory Stimuli group 2, group 3 combination Breathing Lips pursed and Distractive Auditory Stimuli, group 4 as the control group. Results and Analysis: Analysis of paired t-test PLB had a significant value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05), the DAS had a significant value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05), the combination had a significant value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05 ). While statistically MANOVA test the combination group as evidenced by the value of Wilks' Lambda indicated the significance level of 0.000 (p <0.05). This shows the differences between the mean value of Dyspnea and PEF in the treatment group and the control group with the power difference of 0.648 in the combination group. Discussion and Conclusion: Nurses can use the PLB and DAS combination therapy as an alternative therapy for reducing the perception of dyspnea and increase the value of PEF in patients with COPD.","PeriodicalId":89618,"journal":{"name":"Psychology of well-being","volume":"65 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81101113","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Delays that occur are often associated with knowledge of the signs and symptoms of stroke and the pattern of seeking health assistance determined by the family. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of family knowledge with the length of time the arrival of ischemic stroke patients to the emergency department of Jombang Hospital. The research design used was analytical with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling in the families of stroke patients with a total of 60 respondents. Research location in Jombang Regional General Hospital. Analyze data using Spearman rank. Bivariate results with the Spearman Rank test of knowledge with the length of time the stroke patients arrived (p = 0,000), the knowledge gained OR = 43,083. Health Officers provide counseling to patients and stroke families to be able to provide information on signs and symptoms of stroke and the importance of immediately bringing patients to the hospital to get appropriate and fast health services. This study concludes that there is a significant relationship between knowledge with the length of time the stroke patient arrives to come to the emergency room.","PeriodicalId":89618,"journal":{"name":"Psychology of well-being","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89025299","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During pregnancy, physiological complaints sometimes arise in pregnancy from the first to the third trimester, one of these complaints is back pain. Usually, complaints arise during pregnancy, the most common complaint is in the third trimester of pregnancy. Among them, back pain is a common complaint, especially in the third trimester when the center of gravity in the body has shifted. The purpose of the study was to determine the increase of back pain in third-trimester pregnant women at Mandiri Practice Lilis Suryawati, SST,., M.Kes Midwife. The design of this study is to use the descriptive method in the form of case studies. The research subjects were two clients of the third trimester of pregnant women with complaints of back pain in the Mandiri Practice Midwife Lilis Suryawati, SST,., M.Kes. Data collection techniques a described narratively and carried out with interview techniques (the results of the history contain the client's identity, main complaints, pregnancy history), observation or physical examination. The results of a case study on the clients of Ny R and Yn W with physiological pregnant women in the third trimester, found one similar problem, namely complaints of back pain. After midwifery care for one month, back pain is reduced from first degree to zero with massage, pregnancy exercises, warm compresses. The conclusion of the case of Ny R and Yn W clients with physiological trimester III pregnant women is that the problem is resolved as expected. Suggestions from this case study are giving Health education so that the client can deal with pain at home.","PeriodicalId":89618,"journal":{"name":"Psychology of well-being","volume":"29 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73819774","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Apart from disturbing the comfort, dyspnea can inhibit the activity of the client. It is important for nurses to innovate interventions in reducing dyspnea in COPD clients. This study aimed to determine the effect of diaphragmatic breathing exercises as one of the interventions to reduce dyspnea. This study used a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test with a control group, 46 respondents were selected by consecutive sampling, consisting of 23 respondents in the treatment group and 23 respondents in the control group. The independent variable in this study was a diaphragmatic breathing exercise. The dependent variable is dyspnea. Data collection for variable dyspnea using the CAT scale. The statistical test used was Mann Whitney and Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test with significant α = 0.05. The results of this study indicate that intervention diaphragmatic breathing exercises can reduce dyspnea in COPD clients with ρ = 0,000. Intervention of diaphragmatic breathing exercises can reduce dyspnea in COPD clients by increasing the strength of the diaphragm muscles which are the main muscles of breathing. Further research requires pulmonary physiological examination (spirometry test) as one of the research variables.","PeriodicalId":89618,"journal":{"name":"Psychology of well-being","volume":"36 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74919237","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
