Pradeep Kumar Anand","doi":"10.21275/mr231027221015","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21275/mr231027221015","url":null,"abstract":": This study delves into the voting trends within the Indian electorate, shedding light on the relatively low voter turnout in India compared to other democracies worldwide. Employing modern sophisticated tools, this research takes a unique perspective by exploring the personalities of voters to better understand their voting behavior and determine the influences more accurately. This pioneering attempt to comprehend the psycho-social factors influencing voting behavior in the Indian electoral system is groundbreaking. In an election scenario, voters are exposed to a myriad of stimuli related to political candidates, parties, promises, and discussions, prompting selective exposure, perception, and integration processes to form the basis for their voting decisions. The study also draws on the voter turnout theory, highlighting the role of social reference groups and their impact on voter behavior. Furthermore, it emphasizes the underexplored domain of personality traits in explaining political attitudes and voting behavior among the mass public, asserting that personality traits directly influence voting behavior. With the Indian electoral system becoming increasingly dynamic due to diverse societal participation, this research primarily focuses on the psycho-social factors centered around the voter's personality. By examining personality through the DISC personality assessment tool and voting behavior through the theory of planned behavior, the study seeks to discern the connections between personality traits and voting behavior more precisely. The study employs a five-point Likert scale to measure respondents' agreement with statements related to voting behavior. The research's objectives include exploring the influence of a voter's personality on their voting behavior and the influence of specific personality types on various facets of voting behavior. The study's hypotheses posit that voting behavior is influenced by psycho-social factors, particularly personality and attitude, and that different personality types may alternatively affect voting behavior. Employing a non-experimental and exploratory research design, the study plans to employ multinomial logistic regression for statistical analysis. In conclusion, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of the psycho-social factors, specifically the voter's personality, which potentially reflects the quality of the Indian political system. This study aims to elevate our comprehension of this context to a higher standard.","PeriodicalId":87283,"journal":{"name":"International journal of science and research methodology","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135547194","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among its members, Abutilon indicum, also known as Indian mallow or country mallow, stands out as a perennial medicinal plant native to tropical and subtropical regions of Asia. This research paper delves into the study of leaf architecture in Abutilon indicum from the Malvaceae family. Leaf architecture serves as a valuable tool for plant identification, particularly when flowers and fruits are not available. By analyzing micromorphological leaf characters, this study aims to contribute to the taxonomy and identification of Abutilon indicum. The methodology involved plant identification through the Flora of Madhya Pradesh BSI (Botanical Survey of India), India. Leaf samples were carefully collected, preserved, and subjected to clearing techniques to reveal their venation patterns and other architectural characteristics. The results and discussion highlight the unique leaf architecture features of Abutilon indicum, including the ovate leaf lamina shape, acuminate apex, cordate base, serrate margin, actinodromous venation pattern with a basal perfect reticulate sub - type, etc. Detailed measurements were recorded, such as lamina length, lamina width, leaf area, and vein characteristics like the number of primary veins, angle of divergence of secondary veins on primary veins, vein order, etc. These findings can contribute to the development of identification keys and aid in the classification of the species. Further investigation of minor venation characteristics is recommended for a more comprehensive understanding of leaf architecture.","PeriodicalId":87283,"journal":{"name":"International journal of science and research methodology","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135547621","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study was conducted through adoption of qualitative approach for data collection and quantitative for quantifying the problem. The most significant factors were found to be: organization and human resources, management, material management and equipment & machinery. Model development, test and validation by using most significant identified factors were analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Validation of the model confirmed that, the developed models are valid and reliable because the variation between actual and predicted productivities from the year 2012/13 and year 2013/14 are very small; account to 3% & 2% and 5% & 4% respectively. The researchers recommend maintenance management system for the best practise at the workshops. From the findings, the study recommends that, the responsible organization can adopt the developed maintenance model and system in order to improve productivity of the primary machines at the workshops.","PeriodicalId":87283,"journal":{"name":"International journal of science and research methodology","volume":"470 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135547976","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
