Between 1 and 4% of children develop febrile convulsion within in 5 years of life. The study aimed at finding out mothers’ knowledge regarding Management of febrile seizure in children at home. A study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of home care management module on knowledge regarding febrile seizure among mothers of under five children in selected PHC at Chennai. A pre - experimental one group pretest, posttest research design was adopted for the study and 30 mother of under five children were selected using simple random sampling technique. Semi structured questionnaire was used to assess the level of knowledge regarding febrile seizure and on home care management module was given to the mothers for about 30 minutes which was followed by the post test. The study findings showed that the pre test mean score was 42.28 with standard deviation of 1.94 and post test mean score was 86.40 with standard deviation of 1.52. The paired `t` value was 25.49*** which revealed that there was a highly statistically significant difference between the pre test and post test level of knowledge at p<0.05.","PeriodicalId":87283,"journal":{"name":"International journal of science and research methodology","volume":"65 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135548571","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Materials and methods: Quantitative, descriptive and retrospective study, based on a CESFAM database of 420 patients, 62 of whom met the inclusion criteria. The information was analyzed using Microsoft Excel. Results: Of the total number of patients included 89% were decompensated. According to sex, 91% of the patients were women and 83% were men. Eighty-seven percent of patients were classified as high cardiovascular (CV) risk. When separated by sex, 94% of men and 84% of women are at high CV risk. Patients with DM2 present the highest percentage of decompensation (95%) with respect to the other pathologies in the program. Low CV risk patients have the highest percentage of decompensation (100%) compared to moderate risk (86%) and high risk (89%). According to age range, patients in the extreme groups of the sample: <45 years and >85 years had 100% decompensation.","PeriodicalId":87283,"journal":{"name":"International journal of science and research methodology","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135547989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"Public Expectations and Perception towards Police and the Policing Challenges in Republic of Maldives","authors":"Ibrahim Hussain Didi","doi":"10.21275/sr231003150941","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21275/sr231003150941","url":null,"abstract":": Purpose: This study aims to analyze the factors influencing public expectations and perceptions of the police, as well as the challenges faced by law enforcement in the Maldives, including both internal and external factors. Specifically, it examines the changing public perception and trust in the police force, which has been marred by human rights violations committed by police officers across the country. Design/ Methodology/ Approach: The research employed a mixed-method approach, gathering data through questionnaires and interviews. Qualitative and quantitative research methodologies were utilized, with an initial focus on investigating the direct internal and external influences leading to stress, tension, and emotional pressure experienced by police officers in their line of duty. These pressures can result in unlawful activities by police officers, impacting their attitudes, ethical behavior, stress levels, family dynamics, political pressures, media portrayals, and police socialization. Furthermore, the study examines external challenges and influences by employing stratified proportionate random sampling to include residents from all cities and some atolls, NGOs, government agencies, and the general public. Quantitative data was analyzed using the statistical package SPSS, involving the analysis of both independent and dependent variables. Demographic variables and levels of attachment, as measured by the ECR-S, constituted the independent variables. Findings: The study identifies political influences, family pressures, and cultural factors as internal and external challenges within the Maldives Police Service. These challenges encompass issues such as police corruption, the misuse of police authority for personal gain (including bribery, drug-related activities, and abuse of power), and the deliberate omission of pertinent information. Direct influences, including misconduct and predatory policing, originate from various sources, including criminals, politicians, the media, and even within police officers' own families. Practical implications: The empirical findings shed light on the impact of policing service quality on public satisfaction with the Maldives Police Service. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers within the Maldives Police Service, lawmakers, and professionals seeking to enhance policing quality and gain public trust and satisfaction as essential service values. Additionally, academics can use this study to supplement existing literature evaluations with new knowledge and empirical evidence. Originality / Value: This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the effects of internal and external influences on professional policing services, as identified in contemporary literature addressing policing service quality and public expectations and perceptions of law enforcement. Furthermore, this research assesses how internal and external influences affect the service quality and satisfaction experi","PeriodicalId":87283,"journal":{"name":"International journal of science and research methodology","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135548031","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This theory is in the framework of developing a new Law of gravitation, which is the responsible of the Big Bang, doing by gravitation, and the characteristic of the inflation is in accordance with the model. In the model the Hubble law is to be differ to other model and is continuously varied permanently from the beginning and to the end being more higher in the cero point of the Universe and cero to r to find to be infinite. In our theory the mass is continuously create during the expansion, and we calculate the temperature of this mass being the value of 3K. We calculate the density of the Universe by the anisotropy and find close to the dark mass of the universe, en close to the critical density to be required. In the theory we demonstrate the anomalose Hubble diagram of the supernovas is only a mirow of the new law of gravitation, and the dark energy does not exist.","PeriodicalId":87283,"journal":{"name":"International journal of science and research methodology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135548182","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
