{"title":"Ways of improving settlement in West Siberia.","authors":"L P Fuks","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"<p><p>\"[This] paper devoted to the settlement system and the problem of rural population loss in that portion of West Siberia having a significant agricultural base takes issue with some implicit assumptions incorporated within the General Scheme of Settlement within the USSR. The nature of Siberian growth suggests that in addition to serving as centers of resource exploitation, Siberian cities also function as growth poles for more integrated development.
