When sometimes mitochondrial dysfunction occur produces high energy will be demanded, and it is critical for cells such as signal transmission between neuronal cells and also affects cardiomyocytes. Mitochondria and their role to act as power house of the cell and through reactive oxygen species they transmit signaling between molecule and also determination of cellular fate. But sometimes the reactive oxygen species generated more that time, for maintaining normal homeostatic mitochondrial function rapid activation of antioxidant defense system that is required by mitochondrial electron transport. But that time antioxidant defense system is not responded properly or absent that cause mitochondrial dysfunction is occurred at that time they produce degenerative diseases in human beings that is nervous system, and they significantly contribute to produce a cardiac pathology because mitochondria are more abundant in cardiac tissues due to mitochondrial dysfunction, and also they are involved in lung related diseases that is asbestos, lung cancer, chronic airway disease and lung fibrosis. When compared to nuclear DNA the mitochondrial DNA is more sensitive to oxidants because they encode the mitochondrial proteins. When damages to mitochondrial DNA, that case impairment occurs in electron transport chain and potential loss in mitochondrial membrane.  In this review I concluded that by, oxidative stress induced mitochondrial dysfunction produced lung related heart related and neurological related disease and their one of the way of  prevention is by antioxidant induced mitochondrial biogenesis.","PeriodicalId":8546,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Plant Science & Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89593892","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In any crop breeding programme, the presence of genetic variability is vital for broadening the gene pool. An excessive magnitude of variability in the population is required for selecting a genotype with excessively applicable traits. The heritability estimates along with the amount of genetic variability provide us with an idea of genetic gain due to choose. Specific direct developments (number of panicles/plants, filled grains/plant, and test weight) and indirect tendencies (tiller number/plant, plant peak) determine the yield component of rice. In the present overview, we draw a clear picture of how variability affects the selection method and also how yield is related to distinct direct and indirect developments. Genotypes show high variability, and suitable characters can be used in a similar breeding programme. A glimpse of molecular advances in rice breeding has also been integrated into the gift overview.","PeriodicalId":8546,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Plant Science & Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75277567","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They can be categorized according to their contribution to economic development thanks to their taxonomic classes. Plant components are used in pharmaceutical research and the creation of novel medications in the healthcare industry. Plant components or herbal concoctions are utilized as herbal medicines in Bhutan and other parts of the world to treat various illnesses. The study aimed to list all the plants possessing medicinal properties from the published sources. The proponents of herbal medicine in Bhutan assert that plant parts contain a variety of phytochemicals that show a range of pharmacological and biological responses. The related data were searched online using various boolean operations. Bhutan is home to around 637 medicinal plant species under 132 families and 418 genera, of which only 229 species are used in Bhutanese traditional medicine. More research and interactions with the local traditional medicinal practitioners can reveal more plants with medicinal properties.","PeriodicalId":8546,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Plant Science & Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81005636","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A method for measuring the in vitro antioxidant activity of hydroxyl radicals was used. In all of the examined models, Coriandrum sativum at both doses demonstrated antistress effects. In the anoxic tolerance test, swimming endurance test, and duration of stay on the rotarod, the EECS treated rats demonstrated enhanced swimming time, duration, and anoxic tolerance time, respectively. The C. sativum's potential to scavenge free radicals, which enhanced the cognitive effect, was utilized to determine the in vitro antioxidant activity. The results demonstrated clearly that the extract's in vivo adaptogenic performance and cognitive improvement were caused by its in vitro antioxidant activity. The EECS treated animals showed increase locomotor scores in basal activity by Actophotometer. The plant secondary metabolites flavonoids, glycosides, triterpenoids, and phenolic components may be accountable for the animals' improved swimming endurance, stress tolerance, and overall performance. This study gave evidence that the ethanolic extract of Coriandrum sativum has antioxidant, anti-stress, and nootropic activity, and that utilizing them by humans as nutraceuticals is beneficial and scientific. By stress reduction in animals, the antioxidant effect provides the pharmacological basis for supporting a healthy memory.","PeriodicalId":8546,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Plant Science & Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83207061","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Particularly, people who rear livestock and depend on naturally available fodders have a great concern over the invasion of this species. Therefore, this study was conducted to generate knowledge on current status of A. adenophora invasion and its potential impact on livestock and fodder species of Radhi Gewog (Village block) under Trashigang district of Bhutan. The study recorded the total of 14 fodder species distributed in both open and undisturbed forest, and Artemisia sp. was the most abundant fodder in the sampled site. We learnt that the livestock mainly used the open areas for grazing and browsing, but 87.5% of sampled plots in this area was invaded by the A. adenophora, affecting the growth of fodder species. Due to this reason, a strategic management plan needs to consider the eradicating or controlling the invasion of A. adenophora across the country, particularly at grazing sites and places where people depend on livestock for their livelihood.","PeriodicalId":8546,"journal":{"name":"Asian Journal of Plant Science & Research","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83479650","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On the basis of taxonomical component analysis, among the studied species, it has been disclosed that the numerical characters such as leaf length, petiole length, leaf breadth and lamina length are positively correlated to resolved taxonomical relation of different species of the same genus. Contribute important role in bringing together the species within a genus using principal component analysis results of five quantitative characters based on similarity matrix reveals significantly the correlation between leaf length to leaf breadth, leaf base nerve number, and the ratio of leaf lamina length to petiole length significantly separates the species from each other. Morphometric characters provided justification for the existing classification of the Ipomoea genus. It also indicates the component matrix after extraction of the characters that contributed strongly in similarity between the selected Ipomoea species. Three characters which include Leaf length, leaf breadth, and the ratio of leaf length to leaf breadth contributed significantly to the delimitation of the species of Ipomoea studied.
