Sragen Regency has started developing organic rice since 2010 and the slogan for agriculture is \"Go Organic\". Sukorejo Village is one of the villages in Sambirejo sub-district as the center of organic rice production which is still under development. The problem faced is a low productivity due to a limited availability of production factors i.e. fertilizer and bio pesticides. It is engendered by the majority of farmers provide input traditionally. The allocative efficiency using the regression coefficient value of Cobb-Douglass was applied to analyze the efficiency of those production factors. The result of analysis showed that the value of using bio pesticides has not been efficiently obtained by NPMx/Px of 2.66. It displayed that the allocation use of the bio pesticides was still dearth of. The respondents used pesticides at 54 Lt/ha in average have not been efficient, therefore it needs to be enumerated to get the maximum production reaching 104.04 Lt/ha. While, the results of analysis revealed that the value of NPMx/Px allocation of labor was 1.28 in which the value was greater than one so that the allocation of labor in the study area was not efficient. With the use of labor at 93.6 HOK per hectare in one planting season, it indicated that the allocation was still inefficient. Farmers need to add the optimal use of labor to reach 120.25 HOK per hectare in one planting season.","PeriodicalId":84843,"journal":{"name":"Habitat debate","volume":"20 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76559273","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The OAS also shares the emerging consensus that this challenge will have to be largely met in our cities where most people live consume water and generate waste. The OASs Unit for Sustainable Development and Environment (USDE) has adopted the concept of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) as a tool to mitigate the contamination and degradation of watersheds especially those that contribute to the water supply of cities in the Americas. The USDE has focused its efforts on encouraging the adoption of water resources management policies and efficient development of trans-boundary basins by providing technical support to help member countries implement strategic action plans and by promoting the exchange of information and expertise through the Inter-American Water Resources Network (IWRN). The Training Section, in UNCHS, proposed a capacity-building program designed to respond to this demand focusing on the skill-training and attitude formation needed for effective local leadership. The proposed program is adapted from the \"Training for Elected Leadership\" series widely tested and used in many regions. It combines direct training for local officials from villages in Ismailia, and indirect training for trainers from the Ministry of Local Administration (MLA). After the course, the MLA trainers would design a training program which they will implement nationally. The Minister for Local Administration decided to finance the translation and production of the manuals, while the Governor of Ismailia offered to cover the trainees' expenses. The UNCHS Training and Capacity-Building Section would provide technical guidance and coordinate and implement the program. Once the Arabic version of the training materials would be available, UNCHS would use it regionally to reach out to other Arab States. This example illustrates how concerned stakeholders cooperate to address capacity-building needs. The UNCHS Training Section assumes the role of facilitator and acts as a catalyst for the formulation of such activities. The feeling of ownership of the locally produced/adapted training materials enhances the propensity of their effective and extensive use. This approach has succeeded across regions, cultures, and languages with out-reaching multiplier effects.</p>","PeriodicalId":84843,"journal":{"name":"Habitat debate","volume":"2 1","pages":"23"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1996-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"22018858","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
