With analysis of general geomorphologic characteristics, the particular relief units and their elements are distinguished, by which global and specific characteristics of relief may be noticed. This reflects on the level of complexity of the analysis of geomorphologic features in the spatial plan, and with proper evaluation of macro-relief characteristics of the observed area, a high level of valorisation of their values is achieved. For the purpose of analysis of morphological features of the Una-Sana Canton relief, the following quantitative geomorphologic methods are applied: analysis of hypsometric relations, analysis of slopes, analysis of vertical diversity of relief and analysis of expositions. Results of the analysis indicate to a high level of dependence of distribution of settlements and economic activities on morphologic features of relief, as well as on futher opportunities of spatial development of the Canton.","PeriodicalId":84805,"journal":{"name":"Geografski pregled. Health tourism services belong to the group of people-processing services, with the highest level of perceived risks among customers. One of the well known models for tourism service quality measurement is Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). The model includes service performances evaluation from customer point of views, but also evaluation of importance of specific attributes and quality dimensions. The main objective of this research is to evaluate the customer perception of health tourism service quality and their evaluation of importance of different attributes and dimensions of perceived service quality of health centre. Results of research show that most of service quality dimensions items are identified in Low Priority quadrant and Keep up the Good Work quadrant. Based on the research results health tourism institution in most cases provides high performance services in attributes and quality dimensions which customers’ perceived as the most important.","PeriodicalId":84805,"journal":{"name":"Geografski pregled. First and foremost, these are the challenges of globalization, demographic change, climate change and the challenges associated with energy supply. On the basis of the report, we designed a system of factors and indicators which could be used to evaluate the vulnerability of regions to future development challenges. We tested this approach in the case of development regions in Slovenia. Results of the analysis show that the proposed approach is an appropriate professional basis for preparation of regional development programs.","PeriodicalId":84805,"journal":{"name":"Geografski pregled. This paper presents the basic quantitative and qualitative characteristics of horizontal and altitudinal changes of air temperature as the basis for the spatial thermo-climatic differentiation of Bosnia and Herzegovina into its continental and Mediterranean regions. The conducted analyzes and the interpretation of general physical-conditions determining the spatial position of the aforementioned thermic limit have used a GIS spatial thermic model and the longitudinal and transverse thermic profiles as a basis for defining the horizontal temperature changes.","PeriodicalId":84805,"journal":{"name":"Geografski pregled. The development of tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina occured slowly over time, (maybe it's continuing to be so even today) so the supporting facilities of tourist activities are very rare. Bosanskohercegovački Travel Club issued the first tourist map of the surrounding area of Sarajevo called \"Map for tourists and foreigners,\" which was published in 1909, which is the main subject of this paper. The methods used in this paper are method of analysis of cartographic elements of the map, its composition, aesthetics, metricism et al., which show that these are tourist contents existed in the area of Sarajevo, and it (the content of the map) is thoroughly analyzed. Aim of this study is to introduce, if not the oldest, then one of the oldest, tourist maps of Sarajevo, which by its content and accuracy, indicates how then, just as today, the basic postulate tourist map can be a kind of cadastre, or base of spatial temporal data, which make predispositions, and the document for the development of tourism. On thematic tourist maps by selecting the appropriate means and methods of cartographic expression, through the application of the basic properties of the map, especially measurability, accuracy, integrity and aesthetics, it makes the map usable for tourist-users, and the means and methods of his stay in a destination, what Map for tourists and foreigners from 1909 certainly is.","PeriodicalId":84805,"journal":{"name":"Geografski pregled. There are described specificities of these relations which still influence current level of cross border collaboration. The main aim of the article is to describe the situation on Czech- Polish border in Jeseník region after accession into Schengen area in 2007. Thanks to the specific border regime this event plays an important milestone in Czech-Polish cross-border relations. From methodological point of view were used interviews with mayors and other representatives on municipal level as well as questionnaires among local citizens to map the situation 5 years after entering into the Schengen space. We would like also to discuss broader context of cross-border relations and their dynamics to understand better current situation and possible future development.","PeriodicalId":84805,"journal":{"name":"Geografski pregled. Thermal power plant \"Tuzla\" is located in the center of the Tuzla basin near coal mines Kreka-Banovići, the largest in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with significant geological reserves of lignite and brown coal, which enable supply of coal for industries in the Tuzla basin. For such a complex development in the Tuzla basin, those elements of social, economic and physiognomic nature were taken, which were special and important for the transformation, i.e. for the change of space with its focus of spatial development of economic activities and social and technical infrastructure in the Tuzla basin.","PeriodicalId":84805,"journal":{"name":"Geografski pregled. The concept of the second demographic transition has relevance for explaining the ongoing changes in fertility patterns across Europe. The widespread transition from high to low fertility was strongly pronounced in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Among others, one of the purposes of this paper is to supplement the ongoing debate about the `true`nature of the income - fertility and urbanization – fertility nexus with evidence from panel dataset of 109 municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since the early 1990s there has been a marked shift in circumstances for reproductive behaviour in Bosnia and Herzegovina reflecting a move from a satisfactory and a more or less stable socio-economic and living environment to more impoverished living conditions with regard to each segment of life. The principal changes in fertility trends occuring in Bosnia and Herzegovina was in focus. The analysis presented here are based on statistical data from population censuses, more recent estimates from official sources and via fieldwork.","PeriodicalId":84805,"journal":{"name":"Geografski pregled.
