Wahrend die Lumineszenz von ZnS-Pulvern mit hohem Mn-Gehalt unabhangig von der Wellenlange des Anregungslichts exponentiell abklingt, findet man bei Proben mit geringer Aktivatorkonzentration Abweichungen vom Exponentialgesetz, wenn man die Emission durch Einstrahlung in die der Grundgitterabsorption am nachsten liegenden Absorptionsbanden bei 395, 430 und 470 nm anregt. Mit Hilfe eines einfachen reaktionskinetischen Models kann der experimentelle Befund qualitativ gedeutet werden. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000The intial decay of the yellow luminescence in ZnS:Mn is investigated at room temperature for various activator concentrations. The phosphor is excited by illumination with the characteristic Mn absorption bands at λ = 395, 430, 470, 495, and 530 nm. The luminescence of ZnS phosphors with a high Mn concentration decreases exponentially. For samples with a low activator concentration, deviations from the exponential law are found if the excitation is via the bands at 395, 430, and 470 nm, which are those nearest to the absorption edge. In Ubereinstimmung mit den Mesergebnissen konnten die Frequenzen dieser Kristallschwingungen aud den Abmessungen der Einkristallquader berechnet werden. Die Anregung solcher Scherschwingungen im magnetischen Hochfrequenzfeld erfolgt uber den piezoelektrischen Effekt und kann unter Zugrundelegung der zweiten Maxwell-Gleichung verstanden werden. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000The higher harmonics of shear vibrations of NaClO3 single crystals are measured between 23 and 30 Mz in the high-frequency magnetic field produced by the coil in the oscillatory circuit of an autodyne arrangement. The frequencies of these crystal vibrations as calculated from the dimensions of the single crystals are in agreement with the experimental results.
