As per Ayurveda year is divided into six seasons, in which three season Shishira, Vasanta and Greeshma are known as Aadanakala . Other three seasons Varsha, Sharad and Hemanta are said to be Visargakala. In Visarga kala, as the Sun is located in southwards position, its heat reduces or slows down due to the effect of time and its position with respect to the Earth, wind, cloud and rain. The power of the Moon is predominant. Rainwater decreases the heating effect of nature. All of these lead to the predominance of non- dryunctuous, amla (sour), lavana (salty), and madhura (sweet) rasa respectively and step by step rise of body strength in human beings during these three seasons. Out of all the Ritus, Hemanta Ritu is a unique Ritu in terms of having uttam bala. Falling in Dakshinayana, moon is very powerful than sun, Madhur rasa is predominant in this Ritu, so the strength (Bala) of person enhances during this period. This article focuses to disclose thorough review of literature of Hemant ritucharya and its implication towards maintenance and enhancement of Uttam Bala. In Ayurveda oja, veerya, prana, kapha etc terms are considered as synonyms of Bala. Besides prakruti(genetic), sara(physiological) and aahar(diet), kala (season) is one of the prime factors to govern the Bala of the person. Bala stands for the strength of the body in terms of physical, mental, immunological and resistance to the body, the word Bala is being used in different contexts to denote various aspects accordingly.\u0000Keywords: Visarga kala, Hemant ritu, Bala","PeriodicalId":8309,"journal":{"name":"April 2021","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82771739","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Apart from this burden of noncommunicable diseases (NCD’s) is also too high. We get very good comprehensive measures in Ayurveda, which will protect our body from both Infective diseases & NCD’s. It is recently; Modern science has come to know about disturbance in circadian rhythms (biological clock) by means of faulty diet, untimely eating & performing tasks at wrong time’s causes many diseases. Ayurveda already knew that environmental changes in whole day have effects on our body and to synchronize with them they mentioned Dincharya. Apart from this they were also aware of ef- fects of seasonal changes on human body and to synchronize with them they have mentioned Rutucharya. Based on seasonal changes Aacharyas have classified six Rutu’s namely Shishira, Vasanta, Grishma, Varsha, Sharad and Hemant. According to their effects on body different Rutucharyas are told. At present Indian calendar seems to be slightly out of phase with seasons but with help of tropical phenomena like solstices, equinoxes with respect Uttarayan, Dakshinayan & seasonal markers mentioned in Samhitas we can mark exact seasons. Ahara is one among three pillars of Ayurveda1. Many common health problems can be prevented through healthy diet. When one consumes the Ahara i.e. food in proper quantity and quality and also with The Ishta Gandha, Ishta Varna, Ishta Rasa it leads to improvement or maintenance of the Bala, Varna, ojus2. So, Ahara plays a very important role in child nutrition to improve the immunity of the child and to maintain the healthy status of child. As mother plays a very important role in preparing the food, it is in the hand of the mother, how she cooks the food by using the innovative ideas to fill the stomach of the child with the nutritious food ingredients with the attractive colour, shapes and taste. The objective of this study was to characterize fruits and seeds phenotypically and to evaluate the genetic structure in three natural subpopulations of Campomanesia adamantium, based on quantitative data. Fruits of gabiroba plants from three subpopulations were collected, sampling 10 mother plants per subpopulation, with collection of at least 10 fruits per matrix, totaling 300 fruits. Physical characterization data of fruits and seeds were submitted to descriptive analysis, analysis of variance and correlation among characters. There was significant variation for the length, width and fruit mass in C. adamantium at all hierarchical levels evaluated: among subpopulations and among mother plants within subpopulations. Most of the variation, for the three variables under study is found among fruits within mother plant, and then, there is greater variation among mother plants within subpopulation. The levels of variation found within the subpopulations were low. The correlation analysis demonstrated the existence of positive and high correlations between the variables such as, fruit length and fruit width, fruit length and fruit mass, fruit width and fruit mass. For a possible breeding program and / or conservation of the species, it is recommended to represent large number of subpopulations to ensure an adequate representativeness of the observed variability.","PeriodicalId":8309,"journal":{"name":"April 2021","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81745142","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
