Treatment with potassium arsenite (Fowler's) solution was completely ineffective, resulting in unusually rapid development of palmar keratoses. The administration of aureomycin, penicillin and chloramphenicol (chloromycetin®) was completely ineffective. Terfonyl® (a combination of sulfadiazine, sulfamerazine and sulfamethazine in equal amounts) therapy was followed by immediate clearance of the lesions. REPORT OF A CASE S. G., a 34 year old shipping clerk, was admitted to the hospital in October 1949 because of recurrent dermatitis.
