In this article, we consider the features of one of the principles of learning - situational-thematic. It involves knowledge of lexical and grammatical material, which is grouped around certain topics and situations of communication. The issue raised in the article concerns the situational topic of communication \"At the doctor's\". It is known that the acquisition of various kinds of knowledge, communicative and speech skills, as well as the formation of personality are the principles that play a significant role in the learning process.
