The study also aimed to understand the factors which influence the uptake of OCP among married females. A quantitative study was conducted among females belonging to age group of 19-29 years. The data was collected through on ground activations conducted at beauty parlors located at urban areas by asking pre structured questions with females. The findings reveal that females had many myths & misconceptions related to use of OCP as a method of contraception. These myths & misconceptions were major reasons for low uptake of OCP as a chosen method of contraception. Reasons of not using OCP included problems of abnormal weight gain, failure to further conception, and deposition of pills in the stomach, lethargy & general illness due to consumption. The study concluded that there is a need to do innovative & focused IEC/BCC about oral contraceptive pills. There is also a need to address issues specific to myths on OCP, ensuring its ready availability & to popularize the positive impact that the OCP can have on females to increase the uptake of OCP as a preferred method of contraception so that females can fulfill their child bearing & reproductive health goals.","PeriodicalId":79685,"journal":{"name":"Medical economics","volume":"7 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69706211","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Private practice medical offices work in conjunction with health insurance companies to create negotiated terms on pricing for diagnostic studies, laboratory tests, and procedures in providing optimum patient care. These annual negotiations create a potential for uncertainty, and either party may decide to forego future coverage of patients if certain conditions are not met. Insurance companies typically are concerned about physicians they identify as expensive utilizers for underserved patients, while physicians are disconcerted about poor reimbursement rates or denials for patient services. The physician is markedly aware of this delicate equilibrium and proceeds with caution before establishing a diverse portfolio of contractual agreements.","PeriodicalId":79685,"journal":{"name":"Medical economics","volume":"7 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69706085","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Continuous process improvements are an essential part of current healthcare environment. According to the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI), the sustainability of process improvement efforts depends on how successful the healthcare organization has been in creating a culture of accountability and transparency with engagement among all members of the clinical team [1]. Thus, the leadership team of the department of pediatrics employed lean methodology to develop a consistent culture of accountability and engagement for each division and team member in the department. Previous isolated lean transformation projects conducted within the departments failed to effectively engage all providers towards consistently embracing value centered mindset. We will discuss how lean methodology facilitated engaging physicians and all other frontline team members towards a value-centered culture.","PeriodicalId":79685,"journal":{"name":"Medical economics","volume":"7 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69705944","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Despite the convenience brought by automation, version constraints in Python projects can easily conflict, resulting in build failures. We refer to such conflicts as Dependency Conflict (DC) issues. Although DC issues are common in Python projects, developers lack tool support to gain a comprehensive knowledge for diagnosing the root causes of these issues. In this paper, we conducted an empirical study on 235 real-world DC issues. We studied the manifestation patterns and fixing strategies of these issues and found several key factors that can lead to DC issues and their regressions. Based on our findings, we designed and implemented Watchman, a technique to continuously monitor dependency conflicts for the PyPI ecosystem. In our evaluation, Watchman analyzed PyPI snapshots between 11 Jul 2019 and 16 Aug 2019, and found 117 potential DC issues. We reported these issues to the developers of the corresponding projects. So far, 63 issues have been confirmed, 38 of which have been quickly fixed by applying our suggested patches.","PeriodicalId":79685,"journal":{"name":"Medical economics","volume":"37 1","pages":"71"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85101958","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In particular, the Supreme Court and the federal judiciary more generally played their part as originally envisioned. That meant, among other things, fulfilling their assigned roles of checking both Congress and the president, not to mention the states, in the service of protecting individual rights under both domestic and international law. These general patterns, moreover, persisted though the mid-twentieth century. However, the chapter makes its case mainly though a consideration of certain landmark controversies and decisions that are nonetheless representative. These cases suffice to confirm the overall fidelity of subsequent constitutional tradition to the Constitution's initial vision.","PeriodicalId":79685,"journal":{"name":"Medical economics","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-09-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68839525","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
