{"title":"Colored-hearing synesthesia.","authors":"Kazue Takayanagi","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"

According to the experimental study of synesthetic tendencies in a total of 104 subjects, the angry voice of the queen of the night from Mozart is pictured as the colors red and yellow. The voice of lament was pictured as yellow. The colors of 'angelic tones' were perceived as cool colors. Though differences between male and female were not clear, synesthesia toward musical phrases were slightly different between seventeen-year-old boys and adults. It is important to choose proper colors to mediate synesthetic tendencies in hospital settings. Angry voices tended to engender warm colors. 'Angelic tones' were cold colors. Patients in ICU may have two attitudes. One is a panic stage which needs calm surroundings, and the other is a fighting stage trying to escape from their serious condition in ICU settings. Common synesthetic tendencies can be used for choosing the color of ICU settings. Hospices have a different attitude to patient care. Colors should be carefully chosen accordingly.
","PeriodicalId":79651,"journal":{"name":"Japan-hospitals : the journal of the Japan Hospital Association","volume":" 27","pages":"51-6"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"27967364","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Proposal of benchmark to study hospital management sustainability. 提出研究医院管理可持续性的基准。

{"title":"Proposal of benchmark to study hospital management sustainability.","authors":"Zaiken Nishida","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"

Well, regarding how I introduced this story today, I thought that I would have to add a new story due to the original request from Vice President Sato. There were other situations. The other day, Mr. Miyabayashi visited my office at the University of Shizuoka, he looked like lack of spirit. I asked him what was wrong. He told me that an incorporated foundation running a mental hospital consulted with him concerning rebuilding their mental hospital that was in practice in the town. It has been in business for a long time. When they opened business, the place was not a commercial center. However, the place is in the town now, so they would like to replace the old building with a new one. They have been running the hospital in the red for the last several years, so they were wondering how to rebuild the hospital under these conditions. Simply put, since the land price went up since the opening of business, they will sell the half of the land and rebuild a new building on the remaining land using the land money and loan from the bank. However, the top executives of the incorporated foundation have been replaced completely, and there are no people related to the owner family. Hired president and hired hospital director wished to rebuild with a gorgeous hospital. Then he sit up all night to write a draft of the down-to-earth hospital rebuilding plan because their future repayment would be deadlocked if they built such a gorgeous hospital. Then he brought the plan to them. However, his client became angry after reading it, and he was banned from the hospital. He felt depressed and visited me in Shizuoka. I have come to like the universal coverage health insurance system while studying hospital management sustainability. The universal coverage health insurance system in Japan is the envy of the world. It functions if there is a medical institution nearby when a citizen owning an insurance certificate becomes ill. Today, it is functioning, so citizens' satisfaction level regarding the health insurance system is high. Despite this, if medical expenditure is repeatedly held down only from the point of view of financial situations and many hospitals close their doors, the system itself will not function. I would like to make hospital keep their operations. That is why I am examining that there should be some conditions to do so. Mr. Miyabayashi is a very good pupil. I would like him to make a significant contribution in this field. I have not told him, but I decided to introduce it today after I saw him being depressed. He works for the Tokyo branch of a construction company. He has reports with him, which he printed at his own expense. It is very thick, so I cannot introduce everything within today. If you are facing a problem of rebuilding your hospital and interested in a solid plan, I hope that you will look at his study. He may not answer that you will be able to build a gorgeous hospital as you wish. I just wanted to introduce a person who tries ","PeriodicalId":79651,"journal":{"name":"Japan-hospitals : the journal of the Japan Hospital Association","volume":" 27","pages":"3-12"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"27967359","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The government argues that the application of IT and networking is required in order to streamline health care services while avoiding its collapse. The Internet environment has been furnished with broadband connection and multimedia in the span of one year or shorter, and is becoming more and more convenient. It is true that the Internet is now a part of Tokyo's infrastructure along with electricity and water supply, as it is the center of politics. However, in local cities, development of the Internet environment is still insufficient. In order to use the network as a common infrastructure at health care facilities, we need to be aware of this digital divide. This study investigated the development status of network infrastructure in regional cities.
","PeriodicalId":79651,"journal":{"name":"Japan-hospitals : the journal of the Japan Hospital Association","volume":" 27","pages":"65-9"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"27967366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A time-motion study was conducted on the medical staff in the surgical wards of two hospitals. An analysis of roles bys by (a) type or class of job type, and (b) hospital function was conducted. The number of working hours was analyzed, as well as the ratio of working hours with respect to direct and indirect job elements. The job elements required for each medical staff member were proven to differ by type of job (doctors and nurses) and also by job class (nurse leaders and staff). When comparing between hospital the differences in job elements were proven not to be a result of differences in hospital function, but to result from the ward system (ward design and nursing system).
","PeriodicalId":79651,"journal":{"name":"Japan-hospitals : the journal of the Japan Hospital Association","volume":" 27","pages":"75-80"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"27967824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this paper is to explore the key to spontaneous laughter for further application to healthcare settings.

Method: Andragogy is the backbone idea. The author modified as seven tools such as sharing the objective, learning by heart, concentration, focusing on points, repetition, humor and evaluation. The contents of Smile-Sun Messages are as follows: 1. I love myself, 2. I love to make you happy, 3. I sympathize, 4. \"Let's think of it this way\", 5. Talk in P-N-P, 6. \"I\" message with eye-contact and love and 7. Thanks for all. Spontaneous laughter arose from participants. They all improved physically in terms of appearance, posture and attitude. There are some reports of better fingering in piano playing in 2 ladies, pain relief in a patient with cancer and improved walking without using a stick for 2 ladies with rheumatoid arthritis and a limp due to an unknown cause.

Conclusion: Spontaneous laughter can be drawn when self-confidence is recognized. Also, for surgeries such as plastic surgery procedures that involve microsurgery, cardiovascular surgery, thyroid surgery, liver surgery, pancreatic tumor surgery, and open gynecological surgeries, the average cost of synthetic sutures is over 10% of the surgical charge. As is seen above, for surgeries which used a great amount of synthetic surgical sutures, the cost of synthetic surgical sutures occupied the surgical technical fee.
