No significant therapeutic success was achieved in cases not reporting about remarkable feelings during the session. Acupuncture was more effective in lowering pain if the disorders were relatively homogeneous than with a generally high subjective strain. Further findings revealed besides personality aspects the therapist-patient relationship to be a determinate factor for effectivity of acupuncture. This is interpreted as an evidence for psychotherapeutic elements underlying the therapeutic outcome in addition to neurophysiological stimulation.</p>","PeriodicalId":79233,"journal":{"name":"Medizinische Klinik (Praxis-Ausg.)","volume":"77 6","pages":"40-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1982-03-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"18125097","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Under acute conditions (15 healthy individuals; medication: placebo 0.25 Dihydergot i.v., 15 mg etilefrine p.o., 0.25 mg Dihydergot plus 15 mg etilefrine p.o.) superiority of the combination could be demonstrated concerning tonisation of the capacitance vessels and improvement of circulatory regulation during orthostasis, as indicated by less pronounced increase in heart rate. In a further study, in which 14 healthy individuals with relatively low blood pressure (RR syst./RR diast. 114/78 mm Hg) received each for one week 20 mg etilefrine, 2 mg Dihydergot or the combination (Dihydergot plus), blood pressure increased significantly (p less than or equal to 0.05) under the combination. The effect was due to the etilefrine component of the combination as could be inferred from the assessment of efficacy.</p>","PeriodicalId":79233,"journal":{"name":"Medizinische Klinik (Praxis-Ausg.)","volume":"77 5","pages":"48-52"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1982-02-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"17189399","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
