We suggest that autolymphocyte therapy might be a useful approach in the prevention or treatment of several diseases. Previous work with autolymphocyte therapy in the treatment of metastatic renal cell carcinoma has demonstrated that this approach is minimally toxic and biologically active. Further clinical trials are justified and currently taking place.</p>","PeriodicalId":77765,"journal":{"name":"Pathology and immunopathology research","volume":"7 6","pages":"483-93"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1988-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1159/000157077","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"14393386","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although they have been studied by different protocols so that the data are not strictly comparable, they represent a spectrum of genetic defects of chondrogenesis that produce chondrodysplasias in mice and, by homology, in man. Because tissues and cells of mice are available for experimental study and the genetics of mice is under experimental control, these mutants can be employed to investigate the biochemical and physiological processes that are disrupted by specific mutations. The systematic study of these disturbed developmental and biochemical pathways will increase our understanding of chondrogenesis and chondrodysplasia as similar studies have done for intermediary metabolism.</p>","PeriodicalId":77765,"journal":{"name":"Pathology and immunopathology research","volume":"7 1-2","pages":"55-61"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1988-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"https://sci-hub-pdf.com/10.1159/000157094","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"14351450","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
