Consequently, preparation and characterization of Ni0.6 Zn0.4Cr0.6 Fe1.4O4 doped Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/Rhodamine dye nanocomposites using solvent casting technique have been reported. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) studies confirm polymer nanocomposites' formation through the interaction between the nanoparticles and the polymer. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) images have investigated surface morphology and particle orientation. The average grain size is estimated to be approximately 51 nm. Images taken with TEM reveal that the composite Ni0.6Zn0.4CrxFe2-xO4/PVA morphology is highly agglomerated, suggesting magnetic nanoparticles are encased in the PVA polymer chains. This may be due to the interaction between the ferrite's oxygen atoms and the PVA's polymer chains. The saturation magnetization (Ms), remnant magnetization (Mr), and coercivity (Hc) measured by VSM have been studied. The modification of PVA/Rhodamine dye nanocomposites with Ni0.6Zn0.4Cr0.6Fe1.4O4 reveals their potential for usage in luminescence applications due to an improvement in the composites' optical characteristics.","PeriodicalId":7687,"journal":{"name":"Al-Azhar Bulletin of Science","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135007043","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To investigate the surface morphology and physicochemical characteristics of Sr-doped ZnO, FTIR spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), elemental analysis, and point of zero charges (pHPZC) were employed. We conducted batch adsorption experiments to investigate the effects of contact time (180 minutes), pH (3.5–11), adsorbent dosage (0.5–3.0 g L−1), and temperature (288–328 K). The kinetic study was modeled using several equations, including pseudo-firstorder (PFO), pseudo-second-order (PSO), Elovich, and intra-particle diffusion (IPD). For the purpose of describing the adsorption isotherm, Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin models were used. A pseudo-second-order model suggests that the adsorption process is chemisorption, which is further confirmed by the Langmuir isotherm model. The maximum capacity ( ) of Sr-doped ZnO for removing CR dye was 71.83 mg/g. At natural pH, the % removal rate of CR dye increased from 13% for pure ZnO (p-ZnO) to 82% for Sr-doped ZnO, where the change in pH significantly increased the removal rate from 7.7% at pH 11 to 92.0% at pH 3.5. The thermodynamic parameters measured at 288, 298, 318, and 328K indicate that the CR dye adsorption occurs spontaneously and endothermically. A significant role is also played by electrostatic interactions in the adsorption of anionic CR dye onto the positive surface of ZnO doped with Sr. This research study highlights the increased surface positivity of Sr-doped ZnO achieved through Sr ion doping. This resulted in a strong attraction to anionic dye molecules like Congo red dye. These findings collectively contribute to advancing the understanding of material-dye interactions and have potential implications for various applications in wastewater treatment and environmental remediation.","PeriodicalId":7687,"journal":{"name":"Al-Azhar Bulletin of Science","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135102132","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The temporal model proposed in this study comprises a system of five nonlinear ordinary differential equations, while the spatio-temporal model consists of five nonlinear partial differential equations. The reproduction number is discussed as a means to estimate the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, and sensitivity analysis is performed to highlight the significance of pandemic parameters. Furthermore, the stability regions of the given models, as well as the Von Neumann stability and consistency of the numerical scheme applied to the spatio-temporal model, are investigated. To analyze the numerical results of the presented models under various parameters and facilitate comparison, effective methods such as the central finite difference (CFD) and Runge-Kutta of fifth order (RK-5) are applied. This comprehensive study provides insights into the dynamics and behavior of the COVID-19 pandemic under different scenarios, shedding light on the effectiveness of lockdown measures and the impact of various parameters on the spread of the disease.","PeriodicalId":7687,"journal":{"name":"Al-Azhar Bulletin of Science","volume":"143 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136373908","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the studied area, 100 boreholes were drilled in three sectors; Abu Sabona (A); Araby (B); and EI- Mallaha (C). The selected core samples have been described to illustrate the stratigraphic succession of the investigated area. Thirty phosphorite samples were studies petrographically and analyzed chemically. The chemical analyses carried out at the Labs of Nuclear Materials Authority (NMA). The obtained data revealed the formation of the Lower Phosphorite Member as isolated lenticular bodies. The Lower Phosphorites Member is deposited in shallower epicontenental marine environment than the upper one. The abnormal concentration of Cr, Ni favor their ultramafic –mafic source rock. The slight difference in cU and eU with increasing in cU contents in most samples relative to eU, could be connected to recent uranium migration from the upper black shale of the Dakhla Formation.","PeriodicalId":7687,"journal":{"name":"Al-Azhar Bulletin of Science","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136373931","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
