However, it has also raised concerns about the risk of injury, especially to the joints. Recurrent joint injuries are a relevant concern for CrossFit practitioners, as the modality involves high-intensity movements, such as weight lifting, jumping, running and exercises that place significant pressure on the joints. Joint injuries in CrossFit can occur due to a variety of reasons, including lack of proper technique, overload, lack of adequate warm-up, muscle fatigue, and repetitive movements. The joints most susceptible to injury include the shoulders, knees, hips and wrist joints. Joint injuries can range from mild to severe and can include strains, sprains, cartilage injuries and even ligament tears. To prevent recurring joint injuries during CrossFit practice, it is essential that practitioners receive adequate guidance from a qualified trainer. This includes learning the correct technique for each movement, not exceeding personal load limits, warming up thoroughly, and taking appropriate recovery measures after training. Furthermore, listening to your own body and respecting signs of fatigue and pain is essential to avoid injuries. The present study aims to identify recurrent injuries in CrossFit. The methodology used to prepare the study is qualitative research, through a bibliographic review. It is concluded that CrossFit is a challenging modality that can expose practitioners to the risk of recurrent joint injuries, especially when inadequate technique and lack of safety precautions are involved. With the correct guidance, adequate training and respect for personal limits, it is possible to minimize these risks and enjoy the benefits of CrossFit in a safer and healthier way.","PeriodicalId":76150,"journal":{"name":"Mental health and society","volume":"12 24","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135087071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In view of this, it is imperative that there is careful planning, aiming to prevent accidents during the procedure and minimize possible complications in the intra- and postoperative period. Intraoperative complications may include hemorrhage, fracture of the maxillary tuberosity and oroantral communication, and postoperative complications may include alveolitis, edema, and paresthesia of the inferior alveolar nerve. 17 studies indexed in the BVS, LILACS, Scielo and Pubmed databases were selected. The selection of articles occurred in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Therefore, the importance of having in-depth knowledge and solid skills on the subject is highlighted, both for a preventive approach and for dealing effectively with the situation in question.","PeriodicalId":76150,"journal":{"name":"Mental health and society","volume":"11 9","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135042710","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objective is to compare the literary discourses about the crazy and madness with the guidelines in the World Health Organization Report: Mental Health: new conception, new hope of 2001. The analysis of song lyrics allowed the association with the approach of different authors and with the report from the World Health Organization. The songs discuss important problems such as violence in asylum institutions, social medicalization and prejudice. The lyrics also refer to the issue of the patient’s capabilities and establish a fine line between madness and normality. More than corroborating with the perspectives of mental health, through this analysis it is believed that music can be a supporting agent in the process of social awareness as recommended by the World Health Organization. It is noteworthy that this discussion goes beyond the field of mental health also covering the field of culture, debating how society relates to the experience of madness and discussing its implications.","PeriodicalId":76150,"journal":{"name":"Mental health and society","volume":"118 12","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135725366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is justified by the need to have a clear, precise and defined survey of physical activities that can be applied functionally to children. This prevents physical, mental and social health problems. It aims to identify, from a literature review, which physical activities can be taught to children in functional training. The research is a bibliographical review where 10 articles published between the years 2013 and 2023 were selected. The methodological proposals related to functional training for children must be at the discretion of the teacher in order to adopt the best practice and must encourage them in the search for a healthier lifestyle, combating a sedentary lifestyle and preventing obesity, which is a major cause of physical inactivity in children.","PeriodicalId":76150,"journal":{"name":"Mental health and society","volume":"118 9","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135725369","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
