This record was on 27.215 deliveries in ten years (1970-1979) at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the University of Parma. From 1970 to 1979 this phenomenon has decreased by 50%. The incidence of obstetric pathology has been elevated (38,87%): this percentage has been more in premature rupture of membranes, pre-eclampsia and uterine inertia. Of these 272 pregnancies, the 37,35% had pathologic cases before pregnancy: these cases were hypertension, heart troubles and diabetes. Cesarean section was elevated (38,98%), so also premature delivery (12,86%) and low birthweight (12,68%). The incidence of malformations was 10,50%. The perinatal mortality was elevated (49,05%0): the majority of this mortality was recorded before delivery.</p>","PeriodicalId":76099,"journal":{"name":"L'Ateneo parmense. As diagnosis is concerned, the primary role of angiography is confirmed, though the alternative and/or complementary role of ultrasounds and densitometry cannot be overlooked. They conclude at last that the removal of the alcoholic noxa and the action of the substances individually used cause an acceleration of recovery and a regression of the alterations of hepatic insufficiency, due to an excessive administration of alcoholic drinks. The distribution of the implantations is: 52 mitral valve reimplantation; 16 aortic valve reimplantation, 2 tricuspid valve reimplantation, 26 xenograft were implanted with the association of another prosthesis or aorto coronary by-pass graft. The patients were selected for clinical criteria (age, sex, geographic provenance) and haemodinamic criteria. Three early embolism were checked, one lethal. The total mortality is of 9 patients: 4 patients were submitted to multiple surgical operation. Saprophytic bacteria prevent the growth of pathogenous microorganisms, partake in the production of vitamins (K, B group), can be responsible for the production of carcinogens and co-carcinogens by acting on bile-acids, food or drugs ingested, can affect the morphology of the intestinal mucosa.
