The temperature dependence of the dielectric permittivity and the temperature hysteresis of barium titanate ceramics nonirradiated and irradiated with an integrated neutron flux from 10/sup 14/ to 10/sup 19/ n/cm/sup 2/ were measured. Moreover, the changes in the dielectric hysteresis loop of barium titanate ceramics caused by neutron irradiation were investigated. It is based on the diffusion of induced charges on localized centres uniformly distributed in the surface oxide layer. The theory is compared with both previous and new experimental work on slow states on germanium surfaces and almost complete agreement is found. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000Es wird fur die langsamen nicht-exponentiellen Relaxationsphanomene auf der Oberflache von Germanium beim Gleichstromfeldeffekt ein neues Modell vorgelegt, dessen Grundgedanke in der Diffusion der Uberschusladung zu den in der oberflachlichen Oxydschicht gleichmasig verteilen lokalisierten Zentren liegt. Wir berichten im folgenden kurz uber einige erste Beobachtungen, die bei elektrolytischer Verfarbung reiner SrF2-Kristalle gewonnen worden sind. Als wesentliches Resultat ergab sich, das die elektrolytisch erzielten Verfarbungsspektren den Spektren additiv verfarbter Kristalle vollkommen gleichen. \u0000 \u0000 \u0000 \u0000A preliminary study is made of pure, electrolytically coloured, SrF2crystals, to obtain information on the nature of their colour centres.
