Students have four roles, namely agent of change, social control, iron stock, and moral force. To make citizens aware of their role, a student organization is needed as a real form of student forum so that they can explore their potential and abilities, achieve missions with one purpose of the organization. Commitment in the organization, as well as the knowledge base is able to build a student's frame of mind, so that he hopes to answer the problems that occur in society. One of the issues that is often discussed is building the concept of civil society in Indonesia. As a student organization, the Islamic Student Association based on Islam is able to assess civil society based on an integral understanding of Islam. The purpose of this service is to provide an understanding of the Indonesian Islamic Student Association's Ideas for Civil Society during the activities of the introduction of prospective members of the Islamic Student Association. The results of the service from this activity are: First, providing understanding and knowledge about the Indonesian idea of Islamic student associations to civil society. Second, interactive discussion between participants and presenters. The resulting cassava is usually processed by women into Opak crackers (chips from flour with cassava). In the process of making Opak, it will produce cassava peel waste. The farmers have never treated the cassava peel waste, besides that cow dung waste is also left piled up near the cow cage. The main factor that underlies the farmer's not to carry out waste treatment because they do not have a place or area to process the waste. Thus, this problem must be addressed immediately so that the farmer group can carry out circular agriculture in agriculture and animal husbandry. The purpose of this activity is to form or develop a group of farmers who are economically and socially independent, help create peace and comfort in community life and improve the skills of members of the Pendawa 1 Farmer Group in managing waste into compost. Partners in this community service program are business actors in the welding workshop sector who have been running their business since 2007. Our Partners still unable to manage their finance. The failures in financial management make it difficult for partners to renew existing equipment. This condition causes the work environment to be not conducive. In addition, the lack of marketing activities means that partners have never received orders from outside their region. This community services want to solve these problems by transferring science and technology as well as additional assistance and capital provided to business actors. The involvement of students in this service program will encourage the implementation of their knowledge by carrying out learning activities outside the campus in the business world. This dedication shows a change in the behavior of business actors, especially in the field of occupational health and safety. Partners have started to separate business and household finances. Methods The training provided to the residents of Buluh Cina Village, Hamparan Perak Sub-district was carried out by making presentations to villagers who had the potential to run a business, this was carried out by the Service Team who served as resource persons. In this training, the Service Team also provides appropriate technology assistance in the form of: Excel Feasibility Study application in the form of entering elements of Income, Expenses, Bank Interest, Rate of Return, Payback Period and Decisions taken. The results achieved are the availability of a Feasibility Study Analysis application as well as a digital Financial Report application so that institutionally it meets the requirements as an adequate business organization. There are more than 200 laundry businesses. The potential for laundry business actors to produce softener and aromatherapy fabric softener has been hit very hard. However, the villagers, especially laundry business actors, do not know how to make these products. Making aromatherapy softeners independent will provide added value to the laundry business actors and villagers regarding economic costs and the transfer of knowledge of technology (science and technology commercialization). Therefore, the University of North Sumatra community service team wants to commercialize science and technology in making aroma softening therapy. The method used in this activity is the selection of partner locations, training, monitoring, and evaluation. Farmers only expect the grass that is under the oil palm plants. Farmers have difficulty getting grass for their livestock when there is less grass under the palm trees, especially during the dry season. It is necessary to transfer the technology of utilizing palm leaves and fronds as quality and continuously available sheep feed. This can be overcome by applying the manufacture of MOL and Amphoteric feed from palm leaves and fronds. The method applied to this service activity is the transfer of knowledge in the form of socialization activities in the form of: 1) Introduction to types of plantation and agro-industrial waste that can be used as alternative forages and concentrates, (2) Formulation of sheep feed, (3) Manufacturing technology MOL, (4) manufacture of amphoteric feed, and 5) Monitoring and assistance. Socialization is done by training and lecture methods. The lecture activity was finished, followed by a question and answer session between the participants and the speakers. The results of the farmer's activities found out how to make MOL from palm leaves and fronds which are used to manufacture amphoteric feed. Administratively, Marindal 1 Village consists of 12 hamlets and has a population of about 37,000 people. A group of people who are members of the wood processing business are engaged in the business of making furniture such as making frames, windows, and doors. The equipment used in cutting and splitting wood is assembled equipment that is prone to work accidents. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic has also had an impact on decreasing the market share of the wood processing business. Therefore, a solution is needed in the form of an automatic wood-cutting spindle machine to prevent work accidents as well as training and assistance in the digitalization process of wood processing businesses so that they are better known by the community outside Marindal 1 Village in the hope of increasing sales turnover. The method used in this service consists of 2, namely the provision of a spindle moulder machine and the socialization of assistance in making digital marketing to partners.
