Patients and Methods: Descriptive, prospective cross-sectional study conducted over six (6) months, 1stOctumbre 2015 to 31st March 2016. All patients admitted and hospitalized in the department for atrial fibrillation and arterial hypertension were eligible for the study. Sociodemographic, diagnostic and evolutionary data were studied. Results: The study included 49 patients during the period. There were 27 men (55%) and 22 women (45%), sex ratio H / F = 1.23). The frequency of AF and hypertension was 43%. The average age of our patients was 72.16 years old with extremes of 51-97 years. The most represented age groups were between 61-70 years old, ie 31%. Dyspnea and palpitations were the major symptoms in our sample with frequencies of 45 cases 92% and 43 cases 88% respectively. Heart failure and stroke were complications ie 49 cases 100% and 8 cases 16.33%. Conclusion: Atrial fibrillation during hypertension is common in the cardiology department of the Ignace DEEN National Hospital mainly related to cavitary hypertrophy. Early discovery associated with effective management of hypertension would prevent or slow the progression of atrial fibrillation in hypertensive patients.","PeriodicalId":72522,"journal":{"name":"Cardiology & vascular research (Wilmington, Del.)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49000084","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is shown that the polymorphism G-455A (rs1800790) of the gene FGB, Glu298Asp (rs1799983) of the gene eNOS, G83A (rs2368564) of the gene REN are the most informative markers to as-sess the possibility of fatal complications of metabolic syndrome. Risk assessment and prognosis of the disease course is multifactorial, where the most formative method will be the assessment of the complex of many single-nucleotide polymorphisms of genes, since the presence of a synergistic interac-tion of genetic polymorphisms is important, when the presence of unfavorable variants of genes of several systems increases the probability of the disease and its more severe course.","PeriodicalId":72522,"journal":{"name":"Cardiology & vascular research (Wilmington, Del.)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47638442","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

SCAD usually occurs both in young women or multiparous women either during pregnancy or in early post-partum period. Here we report an unusual case of SCAD in a middle-aged woman with no predisposing factors for SCAD. Case Summary: A 42-year old female presented with intermittent chest pain, obstetrical history of one child birth seven years back and currently with no other cardiac risk factors. Electrocardiogram showed T-wave inversions in the anterior leads. Stress cardiolite test showed mild partially reversible defect involving anterior/anterio-septal wall. Coronary angiography was performed and SCAD was observed in left anterior descending artery (LAD). She underwent percutaneous coronary angioplasty and stenting, was hemodynamically stable and was later discharged in good condition with the alleviation in symptoms. Discussion: SCAD usually occurs in young patients during pregnancy or in early post-partum period but it should also be considered in middle aged women unrelated with pregnancy. We suggest that women especially who do not have any cardiac risk factors, should not be treated with thrombolytic.","PeriodicalId":72522,"journal":{"name":"Cardiology & vascular research (Wilmington, Del.)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42448634","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It doesn’t only mean to make things, but also the traditional Japanese techniques, craftsmanship, and dedication to continuous improvement. Koryo City has a population of 30,000 people. It’s referred to as \"Town of Socks\" and is the largest producer of socks in Japan. The manufacturers are highly reputed for their technical skills and capabilities, and supply products to overseas luxury brands. However, due to the large quantity of imported products to Japan, the production volume has dropped greatly from the peak period. Japan is prone to many natural disasters. The Great East Japan Earthquake struck in 2011. The 9.0 magnitude earthquake caused a huge tsunami and resulted in over 16,000 deaths. Therefore it is necessary to enlighten people affected by disasters about thrombosis prevention. The cases of thrombosis during a disaster is reported to be about 8%. I asked local medical institutions, stocking manufacturers, and university students for cooperation. This resulted in the creation of one elastic stocking. The purpose of this project is to enlighten people about the prevention of thrombosis and reconstruction of the local industry. METHODS: The research period was from January to March 2017. There are 30 objects (M14/F16, 34.5±9.3). We studied changes in the circumference of the leg below the knee; the improvements of the blood circulation in the legs before and after wearing the compression stockings using a sonogram, and investigated the compression pressure while wearing the stockings (Fig.1). RESULTS: The results revealed that the circumference of the leg below the knee showed a decreasing tendency after wearing the compression stockings. The peak velocity of the popliteal vein tended to increase 20 minutes after wearing the compression stockings (Fig.2). CONCLUSION: The compression stockings seemed to be effective for promoting venous return and preventing deep vein thrombosis of the lower limbs in healthy people. I hope to reduce suffering caused by human thrombosis and to revive the local industry. In this context, the objective of this work is to analyze the main mechanisms that cause oxidative stress, and the most relevant agents for antioxidant defense. This work means to be descriptive in nature. The descriptive research, according to Gil (2007) has as main objective the description of the characteristics of certain populations or phenomena, aiming to describe, explain, classify, and clarify the presented problem. The methodology was given through bibliographic research initially. The research was done with theoretical basis, being sketched arguments by the researcher on the subjects treated. It was concluded that the installation of oxidative stress occurs due to an imbalance between pro-oxidant and antioxidant factors, since the mechanisms of free radical generation occur in mitochondria and cytoplasm.","PeriodicalId":72522,"journal":{"name":"Cardiology & vascular research (Wilmington, Del.)","volume":"71 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41259443","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
