Qian","doi":"10.3724/sp.j.1035.2011.00115","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.3724/sp.j.1035.2011.00115","url":null,"abstract":"Acipenseriformes fish is a kind of the ancient chondrichthyes fish,and Siberian sturgeon(Acipenser baerii) plays an important part in the evolutionary history of vertebrates.Lateral line neuromast is the key part of the lateral line system-a very important sense organ of fish.Therefore,it is necessary to pay attention to the development of the lat-eral line neuromast of the Siberian sturgeon.In order to observing the morphology and tracking the development of lateral line neuromast of the Siberian sturgeon larvae in the different development periods after hatching.The 5μm of the paraffin sections of the adult fish of the Siberian sturgeon were prepared and then stained with HE.Meanwhile,the Siberian sturgeon larvae in different periods after hatching stained with 10μmol/L DiA [4-(4-Diethylaminostyryl)-1-methylpyridinium iodide] which can be used as the neuromast specific markers.The results showed morphology of the neuromast in the lateral line canal: The hair cells erected and arranged closely.Compared to Hammerhead shark(Sphyma lewini),Japanese eel(Lyncozymba nystromi) and Tongue sole(Cynoglossus semilaevis),all of these species had many common characteristics: The neuromast included epithelial cells,hair cells and supporting cells.However,each of these species had special characteristics: The Siberian sturgeon had smaller amount of the hair cells;the Ham-merhead shark had larger amount of the epithelial cells;the Japanese eel had many vacuoles in the supporting cells and the neuromast of the Tongue sole exposed to the skin surface.At the same time,the development of the lateral line neuromast of the Siberian sturgeon had been tracked: 3 days after hatching,the ganglia had dramatic differentiation and development in the region of the ear;10 days after hatching,the ganglia in the region of the ear had differentiation and formed lateral line neuromast above and below the orbital and also began formatting the lateral line neuromast on the opercular;15 days after hatching,the lateral line neuromast above and below the orbital became more obvious,and the lateral line neuromast on the trunk had basically developed;Finally,it is observed that the lateral line neuromast of the Siberian sturgeon larvae had developed completely in 22 days after hatching.Compared to Zebrafish(Danio rerio) and Catshark(Scyliorhinuscanicula),the development process of the lateral line neuromast of all these species were nearly the same.This study may lay morphologic foundation for the further researching on the related genes which express in the development of the lateral line neuromast of the Siberian sturgeon as well as provide useful information for the fur-ther studying on the migration of cells in the development of the lateral line neuromast of the Siberian sturgeon.","PeriodicalId":6937,"journal":{"name":"水生生物学报","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70058136","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"KARYOTYPE ANALYSIS OF THE FRESHWATER DUGESIA PLANARIANS FROM YUNNAN PROVINCE,CHINA","authors":"Chen Guang","doi":"10.3724/sp.j.1035.2011.00333","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.3724/sp.j.1035.2011.00333","url":null,"abstract":"In order to provide evidence for taxonomy,evolutionary biology,biogeography and phylogenetics of the ge-nus Dugesia,the chromosomes and karyotypes of the freshwater planarians,Dugesia sp.,collected from Shuhe town in Lijiang City,Longwangtang pond in Baoshan City,and Xiaozhaongdian town in Xianggelila City,Yunnan Province,were studied.The adult planarians,15—20 mm in length and 1.5—2.0 mm in width,were used.After starving for a week,each planarian was transversally cut into five pieces,the planarian pieces were cultured in distilled water for three or four days to regenerate.For the karyological analysis,the metaphase chromosomes were prepared from regenerating blastemas by an air-drying method.Chromosome numbers of over 100 well-spreaded cells were counted and the chro-mosomes were photographed using Leica DMLB light microscope.The karyotype parameters of five well-spreaded metaphase plates from five individuals were measured.Relative length(r.l.) was calculated as chromosome length ×100/ total length of haploid genome.Centromeric index(c.i.) was calculated as length of the short arm×100/ total length of the chromosome.Arm ratio(a.r.) was calculated as length of the long arm/that of the short arm.Mean values and standard deviations(S.D.) were calculated from five metaphase plates obtained from a minimum of five fissiparous specimens from each experimental population.The karyotype were arranged firstly according to the gradually decreasing lengths of chromosomes and then the centromeric indices.The chromosomes were classified based on the criteria pro-posed by Levan,et al(1964).The results showed that planarians collected from Shuhe town had a diploid chromosome number of 16 with a karyotype formula of 2n=2x=16=16m.Planarians collected from Longwangtang pond had both the triploid 24(2n=3x=24=24m) and partial diploid 16(2n=2x=16=16m),i.e,which were mixoploids.It was noteworthy that the planarians collected from Xiaozhaongdian town had a triploid aneuploid chromosome number of 26 with a karyotype formula of 2n=3x+2=24+2=21m+3st+2m,but a few were 25(2n=3x+1=24+1=21m+3st+1m) or 24(2n=3x=24=21m+3st).The karyological results of the planarians collected from Xiaozhaongdian town were obviously different from those of Dugesia japonica and other species in Dugesia,The main factor that affected the karyological results might be the change of environment(altitude,water temperature,atmospheric pressure and UV radiation).Per-haps it was the change of chromosomes and karyotypes that led to speciation and the evolution of species.Based on the results of karyotype analysis of freshwater planarians,Dugesia sp.,from the three places,classification of freshwater planarians and chromosome aneuploidy had been discussed in this paper.In order to obtain more precise karyological data of Dugesia planarian,other sensitive techniques such as chromosome banding,fluorescent staining or in situ hy-bridization should be useful to get more evidence for taxonomy,genetics,evoluti","PeriodicalId":6937,"journal":{"name":"水生生物学报","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70059060","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

{"title":"RIPARIAN PLANTS IN THE MAINSTREAM OF THE YELLOW RIVER:ASSEMBLAGE CHARACTERISTICS AND ITS INFLUENCING FACTORS","authors":"She Ya","doi":"10.3724/sp.j.1035.2011.00051","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.3724/sp.j.1035.2011.00051","url":null,"abstract":"Riparian vegetation,as a key component of riparian ecosystem,offers suitable habitat and migrating or dif-fusing corridor for animals and plants,and has an important function in buffering and filtrating non-point pollution.The Yellow River is an important wetland in China,and also an essential zone supporting biodiversity.However,the devel-opment of riparian vegetation along the Yellow River is threatened by flow regime alteration caused by the overexploi-tation of water resources such as agricultural irrigation and hydraulic engineering construction.Embankment along the lower river is also destroying the habitats of the riparian vegetation.However,previous researches on the riparian vege-tation along the Yellow River focused on only some specific area.To ensure a deep understanding of the present status of the riparian vegetation and provide support for the protection of riparian vegetation diversity and the riparian man-agement of the Yellow River,two systematic surveys were carried out in April to June and September to October,2008,respectively.The species composition and species diversity of riparian plant communities were analyzed.Classifications of the vegetation by two way indicator species analysis(TWINSPAN) were also carried out.Altogether 169 species belonging to 37 families and 124 genera were recorded.Floristic analysis showed that the flora had diverse geographical origins.With regard to the spatial distribution,the herbaceous plants in the middle river sections were more abundant than those in the upper and lower river sections both in biomass and density.TWINSPAN classification divided the vegetation into 17 communities.The characteristics of the communities were described.The correlative analyses indi-cated that altitude,annual mean temperature,annual mean rainfall,annual mean runoff,mean maximum velocity were the main factors influencing the structure and distribution of the assemblages.","PeriodicalId":6937,"journal":{"name":"水生生物学报","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70058046","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ai","doi":"10.3724/sp.j.1035.2011.00080","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.3724/sp.j.1035.2011.00080","url":null,"abstract":"In order to determine the optimal levels of the lipid of GIFT strain Nile tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus),630 GIFT with average weight of(2.63±0.16) g were divided into six groups(1.73% lipid,3.71% lipid,5.69% lipid,7.67% lipid,9.64% lipid and 16.55% lipid) randomly.One with triplication was the control group fed with basal diet(1.73% lipid),the others were the treated groups fed with basal diet(1.73% lipid) supplemented with 2%,4%,6%,8% and 15% fish oil,respectively.After rearing 90d,the growth,feed conversion ratio,nutrient apparent digestibility and blood bio-chemical parameter were determined.Results showed that,along with dietary lipid level raising,weight gain rate and specific growth rate had a trend of going up first then falling down(P0.05),protein efficiency ratio improved(P0.01) and feed conversion ratio reduced(P0.01).Second-order regression of weight gain rate on concentrations of dietary lipid indicated that the optimal dietary lipid for maximal growth of GIFT tilapia was about 9.34%.Crude protein and dry-matter digestibility had no significant effected by dietary lipid levels(P0.05).Crude lipid and phosphorus digesti-bility raised significantly with dietary lipid level increasing(P0.05).Albumin and albumin/globulin ratio in 1.73% group(this group did not added fish oil) was significantly higher than other group(P0.05).Along with dietary lipid level raising,cholesterol and alkaline phosphatase of fish serum raised significantly(P0.01).Dietary lipid level had significantly influence on blood glucose(P0.05),and there was no significantly influence on the content of triglyceride and the activities of glutamic-pyruvic transaminase and glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase(P0.05).It indicated that the level of lipid in the dietary could improve the growth,the apparent digestibilities of crude lipid and phosphorus to some degree,but excessive amount of lipid content in the dietary may be negative effects of fish growth and immune ability in GIFT.So 7.67%-9.34% lipid of the dietary are the optimal levels of GIFT Seedlings in aquaculture.","PeriodicalId":6937,"journal":{"name":"水生生物学报","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70058062","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
