Acute Acute Inflammation Dermatitis Erythema Erythema Edema Edema Heat Heat Pain Pruritus Local and topical therapy are still considered the most effective therapeutic agents in the management of most acute cutaneous diseases, the \"wet dressing\" being one of the most useful in dermatologic therapy. Any acute contact dermatitis, whether it is due to chemicals, plants, or physical agents, is benefited to some extent by properly applied, bland, wet dressings. In Europe, particularly in Germany, camomile flowers, used as a wet dressing, is a well-recognized form of therapy.
