A protocol for communication between the individual sensors is described. The protocol is based on a Controller Area Network (CAN) bus implementation of the sensor system and includes the setup management, reliable data transfer, and actuator control. An appropriate message design guarantees little traffic on the bus and fast transmission for high-priority messages. As sensor systems are able to run on various communication levels, how the protocol can be transferred into other communication levels is also illustrated. This means that not only is the CAN protocol supported, but also wireless and wired Local Area Networks (LAN) as well as low level communication standards. The protocol setup is exemplarily illustrated based on a sensor network that allows all three standards and therefore the combination of the various communication protocols in one sensor network.","PeriodicalId":6701,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"33 1","pages":"1371-1376"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77935227","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In analytical model approaches, the stator and rotor slots typically influence the magnetic field indirectly as part of air-gap permeance. This work provides a comparison of state-of-art methods to approximate the air-gap permeance including slotting effects. The selected methods are compared with regard to spatial distributions of radial air-gap magnetic flux density and of exemplary flux linkages for a theoretical movable coil. As calculation basis, a cage induction machine at a static operating point is considered. The resulting magnetic flux density distributions illustrate the accuracy differences between the air-gap approximation approaches. Special focus lies on variations in the curve shapes, which are connected to rather generalizable method characteristics. Regarding the exemplary flux linkages, a majority of the approaches lead to strongly resembling results. In this context, computing efficiencies of the methods constitute a discussion point.","PeriodicalId":6701,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"136 1","pages":"292-297"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76745052","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among them, the Cascaded H-Bridge (CHB) and Modular Multilevel Inverter (MMC) stand out for their modular hardware, which allows the easy replacement of their modules in the case of failures. Normally, these converters are operated with centralized control schemes, which require a large processing capacity, multiple digital outputs and wires for the switching signals of the transistors. The use of a centralized controller reduces the modularity of the system and generates difficulties as the number of inverters connected in series (cells) increases. In this work, a distributed control strategy for CHB converters is proposed, allowing each cell to have an independent local controller, which increases the modularity of the multilevel converter without deteriorating the performance of the system. Extensive simulations are carried out, showing the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed distributed control strategy offers when compared to a PI current controller on dq axes and Shifted PWM. The proposed control scheme is also tested under fault conditions and is finally applied in a Field Oriented Control (FOC) of a permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM), in order to evaluate its performance in electrical drives applications.","PeriodicalId":6701,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"21 1","pages":"1509-1514"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82433051","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

CPS applications in total productive maintenance (TPM) were proposed by some researchers that aim to monitor the machinery performance for improving the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) of the manufacturing industry. Although product safety is one of the critical competences in the comprehensive market competition, it is seldom documented in CPS. This paper sought to discuss the opportunities of applying CPS in the new product development process in pre-design and post-design stages for improving product safety in toy products proactively. An overview of CPS applications, consumer product safety and integration methods in manufacturing industry will be presented in this paper. Opportunities in applying CPSC data with CPS to product safety will also be addressed.","PeriodicalId":6701,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"143 1","pages":"1580-1584"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76225895","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By using MCS, we can choose the appropriate data depending on the various situation and reproduce by using robot. In MCS, the performance of motion reproduction is important. However, in real industrial apprication, vibration is caused by mechanical resonances. Then, performance of motion reproduction is degraded. To avoid the performance degradation, we propose motion reproduction method considering vibration suppression. By using proposed method, precise motion reproduction using flexible structure is achieved. Each of them consists two boosting cells with only one switch to control the on-off state of the circuit. The main advantage of these two designs is providing high step-up output ratio. This is significantly useful for renewable energy system with low output voltage, such as solar energy systems, to boost its output voltage to higher ones for grid-connected equipment. One design works under low duty cycle (less than 36%). The operational modes are designed in continuous-current mode (CCM) and this can simplify the analysis and understanding of the converter circuit. In this paper, the theoretical analysis and simulation results will verify the potential value of two designs and the designed parameters will be listed for further research.","PeriodicalId":6701,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)","volume":"26 1","pages":"480-485"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90153389","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
