Oscillator power supply noises were taken into account. The analysis of autodyne and noise characteristics was carried out. The main requirements to the choice of the operation point and to the level of reflected radiation for various characteristics were formulated. The results of experimental research were obtained on the example of “Tigel'-08” autodyne oscillator for 8-mm wave band. A method of optimization of multi-element antenna geometrical parameters under given power azimuth spectrum is proposed. The pulse generator has the following technical specifications: the output frequency range of 40-60 MHz; the output power not lower than 1 W; the RF pulse length from 0.1 to 50 μs; the interpulse interval from 2 μs to 60 μs.
