Collaborative treatment of low carbon nitrogen ratio wastewater through kitchen waste leachate can not only reduce the cost of wastewater treatment, but also realize waste treatment by waste. Aiming at the research on the nitrogen removal performance of kitchen waste leachate as an external carbon source for low carbon ratio wastewater treatment, the denitrification effect of kitchen waste leachate with traditional carbon sources methanol and sodium acetate was compared under different COD/TN conditions. The results showed that: When COD/TN = 6, the order of the denitrification rate is: kitch-en waste leachate: 18.77 mg - 3 NO N − /(gVSS·h) > sodium acetate: 15.84 mg - 3 NO N − /(gVSS·h) > methanol: 9.09 mg - 3 NO N − /(gVSS∙h); the order of total nitrogen removal rates is: kitchen waste leachate: 91.72% > sodium acetate: 90.98% > methanol: 75.18%. To achieve this purpose, we used comprehensive literature analysis and case study approaches to investigate the implementation of environmental monitoring nationwide. It was found that environmental monitoring based on discharge permit technology is currently widely used and promoted in China. Through the discharge permit technology, the government has been able to implement more effective environmental management, and enterprises have been forced to take measures to reduce pollution to the environment. The infrastructure for environmental monitoring has been significantly improved, and the monitoring tools and techniques have been continuously updated and improved. However, research has also revealed some problems. Firstly, the environmental monitoring network in some areas has insufficient coverage, resulting in inaccurate or missing monitoring data. Secondly, there are still limitations in environmental monitoring methods, and the monitoring of some new pollutants still faces challenges. In addition, the application of monitoring results still needs to be further improved, and effective data analysis and decision support systems need to be strengthened. In summary, environmental monitoring based on discharge permit technology has made remarkable progress in China, but still faces some challenges. For this reason, we suggest strengthening the construction of environmental monitoring networks, introducing advanced monitoring technologies and methods, and improving the reliability and accuracy of monitoring data.
