However, wild H. otakii resources have declined sharply in recent years as a result of human disturbance and habitat destruction. Thus, it is crucial to protect the current resources of H. otakii. In this study, 35 novel single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers were developed based on restriction-site associated DNA sequencing. The results showed that the observed heterozygosity and expected heterozygosity ranged from 0.1875 to 0.6562 and 0.2679 to 0.5079, respectively. The minor allele frequency raged from 0.1875 to 0.4375. Polymorphic information content ranged from 0.229 to 0.375. Six SNPs were found to be deviated significantly from the HWE (P < 0.05). Environmental parameters like temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen of the water trapped in the pools are key factors for the flora and fauna that inhabit these areas, particularly during the warmer months when the mean values of these parameters are usually higher than the mean values of the sea surface. The aim of the present study was to determine the variation of the taxonomic diversity of the fish communities that inhabit the rock pools in the common land known as Conquista Agraria in the Pacific coast of Baja California Sur, México, from 2015 to 2019. Temperature, depth, salinity, dissolved oxygen, pH, conductivity, and other environmental variables all have an impact on benthic ostracods. This study aimed to determine the influence of environmental parameters on the distribution of benthic ostracods by determining the similarity and dissimilarity between the eight collection sites, investigating the regional distribution form by accomplished Multidimensional Scaling (MDS), and recognizing the percentage of the influence of each species on the resemblances and variances within the clusters formed by SIMPER analysis, determining the relationships between depth and other factors by Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient. A total of 43 ostracod species had been identified. According to the frequency index, a single species was rare, six were common and the remaining species (36) were dominant. Seven ostracods species were found across all sites and Cytherelloidea sp. was found in two. The abundance and richness of ostracod species were correlated positively with water temperature, dissolved oxygen, organic matter, salinity, and calcium carbonate. The cold water is preferred by the ostracods Cylindroleberis vix and Prionotoleberis lux and the warm water is favored by podocopid ostracods. The findings of this study will aid in the identification of ostracod species, as well as understanding the characteristics and ecological variables in this zone of the Red Sea in Egypt. This family has 146 valid species among them 18 numbers reported from Indian marine environment and 11 reported from the Andaman waters. Among this family, genus Choleia Lamark. 1818, reported 4 species and 1 subspecies from the Andaman waters. Among these the species Chloeia flava pulchella Baird, 1868 was reported by Tampi and Rangarajan, 1964, but no detailed species description was found for this species. During the studies on continuous monitoring of the environmental parameter of nearshore waters of off South Andaman region, a specimen of Chloeia flava pulchella Baird, 1868, was collected. Later the cursory analysis for this specimen identification was revealed that the detailed description of this species found in this region was not available in the literature. Intertidal zones are highly diverse, which makes them key ecosystems for the development of sea life (both flora and fauna) exposed to drastic environmental change. The 59 visual censuses campaigns were carried out during the full moon of each month from 2015 to 2019. Temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen were recorded during each visual census and showed variations between years. Temperature showed two distinct seasons, warm and cold. A total of 14,995 organisms were recorded, belonging to 30 species, 28 genera, 15 families, five orders and one class. Ecological indices like species richness (SR), Shannon-Wiener’s diversity (H') and Fisher’s alpha (α-Fisher) showed significant differences between years, 2015 and 2016 recorded as the most diverse years, while the lowest values were recorded in 2019. Therefore, fish communities of tide pools showed to be highly diverse, with 30 species recording similar relative abundances, and according to the BVI, only 11 species were dominant. Spatio-temporal variations of temperature, salinity and dissolved oxygen were highly correlated to changes in fish community structure, and the dominance of certain species, which are of great importance for the structure and dynamic of the tide pool communities. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to determine the fish community structure of tide pools during the low tide in the intertidal zone of a locality known as El Faro, on the west coast of La Paz, B.
