Quantum computation utilizes unique resources such as quantum superposition and quantum entanglement to encode and process information and has been proved to be dominantly advantageous over classical computation on certain important scientific and engineering problems. Potential applications of quantum computation are expected to influence future information technology and many other related fields deeply and significantly. In this article, we briefly review the history of quantum computation, including how its fundamental ideas and concepts came into being and the development of its significant theories and algorithms. We also discuss the status and outlook of several representative technical routes in this field, including superconducting quantum computation, distributed superconducting quantum computation, photonic quantum computation, trapped-ion quantum computation, silicon-based quantum computation, as well as other systems. Furthermore, by analyzing certain common issues faced by all routes, we propose some thoughts and suggestions for future development of quantum computation in China. Considering the development requirement for water security in the Haihe River Basin, we analyzed the problems regarding water security assurance from the perspectives of water resources, water environment, water ecology, and flood disasters. Subsequently, we predicted the development trend of water security in the Haihe River Basin by 2035 through data simulation. On this basis, an overall idea was proposed, that is, assuring water security in the Haihe River Basin by reinforcing measures for protecting water ecology, and highlighting the role of water resources carrying capacity. Focus should be placed on developing capacities regarding (1) systematic allocation and efficient utilization of water resources, (2) comprehensive improvement in water environment, (3) governance and restoration of basin ecology, and (4) prevention and emergency response of flood disasters. For future development, it is necessary to analyze the water security risks and propose targeted countermeasures, thus to ensure the coordinated development of the Beijing‒Tianjin‒Hebei region and build this region into a world-class urban agglomeration. In this study, we summarize the key national policies, socio-economic development trends, and ecological protection requirements of the region. In addition, we analyze the water security status and relevant major scientific issues. Our findings are as follows. (1) The contradiction between supply and demand of water resources is the primary problem that threatens water security in the Beijing‒Tianjin‒Hebei region, and water resources in the region will probably continue to decay by 1‒2 billion m. This study first investigates the current status and trend of China ’ s new energy development and then prospects grid integration scenarios for a high proportion of new energies in China in the medium (2030) and long term (2060). The challenges faced by the grid integration are analyzed, including coexistence of high-efficiency consumption and energy guarantee problems, increasing difficulty in safe and stable operation, and an unsuitable power market mechanism. Moreover, a key technology system is proposed from the perspectives of source side, grid side, load side, as well as energy storage and basic support. To achieve long-term steady development of the gird integration and operation for the high-proportioned new energy, we propose to strengthen coordinated planning to promote flexibility, make breakthroughs in key technologies, establish an interim mechanism between new energy policies and the power market, and improve the design of the power market to adapt to new energy consumption scenarios.
