However, there are so many problems that exist in drinking water, such as the poor quality and management of water. Obviously, the security of drinking water is threatened. In this paper, according to drinking water protection area delineation principle,GIS-assisted three-dimensional simulation model is introduced to delineate drinking water source protection areas of the five reservoirs in Ningbo taking various factors in consideration, such as natural environment, laws, and so on. On this basis, the 3D display system of Ningbo drinking water source protection areas is built to effectively promote safety supervision of these zones and ensure the security of the drinking water of the inhabitants.","PeriodicalId":6394,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Symposium on Geomatics for Integrated Water Resource Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74028820","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The result is not fine by adopting the conventional coagulation. The effect of three ways regarding enhanced coagulation was studied. The three methods were permanganate pre-oxidation alone, powder activated carbon (PAC) added alone and KMnO4 and PAC combination. Static experiments of three methods were carried out. The results showed: KMnO4 and PAC combination had the best effect of enhanced coagulation. Under the best conditions in conventional coagulation, when the optimal dosage of KMnO4 was 2mg·L-1, pre-oxidation time was 15min, while the optimal dosage of PAC was 10mg·L-1 and was added after 3min of coagulant dosing, the removal rate of cistern water turbidity and CODMn could be 98.5% and 56.6% after enhancing coagulation. The experiment also proved that there were synergies between them. This approach was more efficient to treat with cistern water of northwest region villages and small towns.","PeriodicalId":6394,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Symposium on Geomatics for Integrated Water Resource Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73572142","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed model is capable of simulating the physical transportation, and bio-chemical degradation processes of NB in river such as dispersion, volatilization, photolysis, biodegradation, adsorption and desorption. Photolysis and degradation relations and constants in this model were obtained by laboratory experiments, other parameters are obtained from modeling literature. Model calibration and validation were performed sequentially by comparing computed result with field data of hydrology and NB concentration. The model is applied to predict the transportation and fate of NB after the NB spill leak accident of Songhua River, the results indicated that the numerical model would be effective tools for emergency pollution accident analysis and water management.","PeriodicalId":6394,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Symposium on Geomatics for Integrated Water Resource Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75497723","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

High resolution Digital Elevation Models were used with water level and salinity outputs from a hydrodynamic model of the Coorong to predict temporal frequency of inundation, inundation area through time and under a salinity threshold. Results show greatly reduced habitat availability under a no action scenario and marginally improved availability under the proposed 2800 GL/year scenario, relative to natural pre-European conditions.","PeriodicalId":6394,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Symposium on Geomatics for Integrated Water Resource Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74403560","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Through the comparative analysis, the speed of TMS requests and generates layers is greatly faster than WMS, which has an important meaning for improving the response speed of the traditional WebGIS server and ameliorating users' experience, therefore, this paper mainly studies the segmentation and release of remote sensing images that are based on Tile Map Service (TMS).","PeriodicalId":6394,"journal":{"name":"2012 International Symposium on Geomatics for Integrated Water Resource Management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2012-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76114401","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
